Date: 01/10/08
Time: 19.45hrs GMT
Fixture: Champions League
Teams: Bordeaux V Roma - SCORE: 1 - 3
Our Recommendation:
Two team that lost their opening Champions League matches that definitely need a win here to maintain any chance of progressing. Bordeaux lost their last match to Chelsea 4-0 putting up very little fight which highlighted to us they are definitely not the team we saw chasing Lyon for the title last season at the moment. Domestically they are off the pace but have remained unbeaten at home this season scoring in all these matches so we don't expect it to be a walk in the park for Roma. In this competition they have a pretty poor defensive record conceding in 9 of the last 10 but tend to keep it tight during the 1st half so we might not see a 1st half goal. Roma are in a similar picture domestically and surprising lost to CFR Cluj in their opening match. They are also a team that struggle to keep a clean sheet in this competition conceding in the last 10 consecutive matches (and all away domestic matches this season) but again lean towards a low scoring 1st half. Bordeaux look to have the stronger side here due to no end of injury problems at Roma so we feel this will be a home win or a draw but one with a goal or two.

Our preferred method of trading this is backing under 2.5 goals for the 1st 10-15 min's trading out ideally before a goal. If we see one we will back again and trade out when the odds equalise if two come whilst we are waiting to trade out we will move the loss onto under 2.5 by laying under with the same overall stake. We will also be looking to lay the draw here and trade out after a goal from either side. If the match is goalless when the draw odds reach 1.8 we will trade out with the loss on the draw. If the match is fairly even and the other side looks like equalising its worth considering laying the team that's ahead at this point, trading out after the other team draws level.

Our Trading Result:
We backed under 2.5 goals at 1.73 (forgot to highlight it as a main trade in bold so only reporting half the profit on this one) and layed the draw at 3.2. 14mins in we got out on the under 2.5 goals trade at 1.52 with £56 after Gourcuff shot on goal went wide. A few minutes later Bordeaux opened the scoring for us to trade out at 4.2 with £75 on the draw trade. Quite a few members then asked us about laying Bordeaux as we highlighted it in the preview. At the time we advised to give it a while before making this desison to see how the match developed. 36 min's in Bordeaux were reduced to 10 men giving us the perfect oportunity now to lay them so we gave it a short time to see how Roma responded then layed Bordeaux at 1.96. It took a while but Roma equalised for us to trade out at 7 with £10 for a perfect start to the new month. Overall profit of £68.

Date: 02/10/08
Time: 17.30hrs GMT
Fixture: Uefa Cup
Teams: Kalmar V Feyenoord - SCORE: 1 - 2
Our Recommendation:
The 1st meeting between these two ended 1-0 to Kalmar this time they are in their home town where they are undefeated winning 83% of their matches and scoring an average of 2.6 goals a match. They are definitely in superior form and are on track for the Swedish title. One of our concerns when trading on Kalmar is they just can't keep a clean sheet against decent teams (admittedly they did in the last encounter but they were very lucky defensively, and should have conceded twice). For this encounter they are without Carsson and Larsson two of their key defenders which basically means Feyenoord should definitely score here if they come motivated. They haven't really had the best start to the season without a win on their travels and have loads of injury's which kind of explain's their poor form but looking at the possible line up they have quite a few experienced international players available so still have a good chance here, especially if they score early.

It makes sense to lay the draw here and trade out after a goal from either side. We should get a positive movement whoever scores but feel free to chase a better price than the 3.4 that is currently available. Maybe half on now and the rest on inplay as Kalmar have a habit of scoring fairly early when at home. Backing over 2.5 goals makes an ideal side trade inplay during the 1st half staggering your stake for better value starting around 10 - 15 min's in as usual. £5 on the 0-0 is also something we will be doing here. If Kalmar go behind in the 1st half (happens) and they respond by then dominating, please consider a small lay of Feyenood trading out after Kalmar draw level.

Our Trading Result:
We layed the draw with half our stake at 3.45 just before we sent out the email to members highlighting we posted the trade on the website. We also put £5 on the 0-0 at 14. The odds shortened just after to 3.4 then bizarrely drifted over the next few ours out to 3.8 ish. We had a few emails from members telling us they had traded out before the match started on this trade! After about 12 min's we put £15 of the £50 we were looking to get on the over 2.5 goals bet getting 1.84 matched. Feyenood opened the scoring 5 min's later for us trade out on both trades. We got out at 3.95 on the draw and 1.34 on the goals bet for £8 overall after taking out the 0-0 bet. We advised against laying Feyenood as Kalmar didn't give us enough confidence they could pull it back. Those who did get on this would have been able to make a decent profit after they equalised 46 min's in.

Date: 04/10/08
Time: 14.30hrs GMT
Fixture: Bundesliga
Teams: Stuttgart V Werder Bremen - SCORE: 4 - 1
Our Recommendation:
The last time these two met it was an amazing match with Stuttgart walking away with the win 6-3. We all know Stuttgart are a strong home side winning 8 of their last 10 but their last two matches have seen them lose some of their momentum so they will need to refocus for this tough encounter. They are without two key defenders for this match so expect Bremen to have little trouble scoring in this encounter. Bremen are brimming with confidence at the moment coming into this match on the back of 4 wins and a draw, scoring for fun (22 goals in the last 10 on the road). Stuttgart have a similar scoring record hitting the back of the net in 9 of the last 10 home matches scoring 28 goals. A little difficult picking a winner here but obviously goals look likely so we will be having a side trade on this but laying the draw and trading out after a goal is the best option for the main trade and with the 0-0 at 20 you can also get some cover with minimal outlay £5 should do it. The over 2.5 goals market should payout so we will be having a side trade on over 2.5 goals inplay during the 1st half staggering our stake from 10-15 min's in trading out after a goal or at HT for no loss on under 2.5 goals but getting back in if a 3rd looks likely in the 2nd half and more than 15 min's are left. If the match is goalless when the draw odds reach 1.8 we will trade out as usual with the loss on the draw.

Our Trading Result:
We layed the draw at 3.4 and backed over 2.5 goals with half of the £50 the stake we were looking to get on at 1.8. Stuttgart opened the scoring after 17 min's for us to trade out at 4 on the draw and 1.28 on the goals bet. We also had £5 on the 0-0 at 20 so overall £20 profit.

Date: 04/10/08
Time: 15.00hrs GMT
Fixture: Allsvenskan
Teams: Helsingborgs V Elfsborg - SCORE: 2 - 2
Our Recommendation:
This should be a very even match and more than likely low scoring. The last 6 times they have met we have seen the match finish under 2.5 goals (Elfsborg have avoided defeat in all these matches). This is mainly due to Elfsborg's amazing defensive record, only conceding 9 goals in the last 24 league matches. Helsingborgs are the more likely to concede here and if they do they are likely to have serious trouble pulling it back. We will be backing under 2.5 goals here and trading out 10-15 min's in. If a goal comes in this time we will look to back again and trade out after the odds equalise. If a 2nd comes and it inside the 1st 30 min's and your still in its likely to brake the mold and finish over 2.5 so moving the loss onto under would be our main consideration here.

There isn't much money on the market at the moment so you might want to keep stakes low if the liquidity isn't there before kick off just so you can trade out. The 1.9 thats there now seems too high so expect it to shorten before kick off.

Our Trading Result:
Regrettably not much money on the market here so we only put £25 on at 1.93. No goal before we traded out at 1.75 for £2 profit but giving some of the new members an opportunity to do this type of trade has more value.

Date: 04/10/08
Time: 15.00hrs GMT
Fixture: Premiership
Teams: Wigan V Middlesbrough - SCORE: 0 - 1
Our Recommendation:
Wigan at home are a tough match for anyone outside the top 6. They haven't loss any of these matches since they had a management change. They also have an excellent record for following up home wins with another one managing to do so on 85% of occasions. Against a Middlesbrough team that has looked very disappointing lately, losing 4 on the bounce and without an away win in the last 10 we should see a decent result for Wigan. We have been perticularly impressive of late by their attacking force (Zaki especially) and feel Middlesbrough will find it difficult to contain them. We will be laying the draw here and trading out after a goal. Please feel free to stagger your stake for a shorter price than the 3.5 that's currently available. We will be also having a side trade on over 2.5 goals inplay during the 1st half, staggering our back stake starting around 10-15 min's in depending on how open it is. We will get out after a goal or at HT for no loss on under 2.5 by laying over 2.5 with the same stake. Getting back in if 2 come in the 2nd half and a 3rd looks likely with more than 15 left. Out at 1.8 on the draw if the match is goalless at this point, loss on the draw.

Our Trading Result:
We layed the draw at 3.4 and backed over 2.5 goals at average odds of 3.05. We went into the break goalless so traded out for no loss on under 2.5 as usual on the goals trade. Still no goals before the odds reached 1.8 so we traded out of the draw trade at this point as usual with the loss on the draw. The last 15 min's produced a few decent chances with a goal coming in the last few min's for us to end the match with no loss and no profit.

Date: 04/10/08
Time: 15.00hrs GMT
Fixture: Premiership
Teams: Sunderland V Arsenal - SCORE: 1 - 1
Our Recommendation:
This will be the 3rd trade at the same time so if you think you will have trouble just pick the one you prefer. Probably the easiest way to trade this match is to get in after you have traded out of the Helsingborgs match which should be around 15 min's in. The reason we have picked this is Sunderland tend to go being early against the leagues better teams which is supported by Arsenal's strong record of scoring against similar ranked teams. We will be backing over 2.5 goals here and trading out after a goal. Staggering our stake as usual. If we get to HT and its goalless we will trade out for no loss on under 2.5 by laying over 2.5 with the same stake. Back in if a 3rd looks likely with more than 15 min's left (we all know Arsenal's record of scoring in the last 15 min's so be vigilant).

Our Trading Result:
We backed over 2.5 goals at average odds of 2.98. No goals unfortunately from either team before the break so we followed the plan above, trading out for no loss should the game finish under 2.5 . A couple of last second goals but not 3 so we ended with another clean sheet.

Profit made on this trade = £0

Date: 05/10/08
Time: 13.30hrs GMT
Fixture: Premiership
Teams: West Ham V Bolton - SCORE: 1 - 3
Our Recommendation:
West Ham have won their 3 home games so far this season and are unbeaten under new boss Zola. Against teams with Bolton's current form they have a strong record of leading at the break, doing so in 70% of these matches. Suprisingly a goal has been scored inside the 1st 20 min's in just under 70% of the Hammers home games against simular opponantes over the last few seasons, and in 9 of the last 10. Whilst we see West Ham continuing their winning home run here, Bolton are in desperate need of a win so should put up a serious fight, so we see them on the scoresheet as they have done so in the last 5 H2H meetings with the Hammers playing at home.

We will be laying the draw here and trading out after a goal. The 3.4 that is currently available is ideal. We will also be having a side trade on over 2.5 goals getting in 10-15 mins in, staggering our stake for better value. Same trade out plan as usual on the goals bet, if it remains goaless at the break. Out at HT for no loss on under by laying over 2.5 with the same stake, back in if a 3rd looks likely and more than 15 mins are left. Also out at 1.8 on the draw with the loss on the draw if we haven't seen a goal by this point.

Our Trading Result:
We layed the draw at 3.45 and back over 2.5 goals at average odds of 2.71. Kevin Davies opened the scoring on the half hour mark for Bolton who were very impressive for us to trade out at 3.6 with £95 on the draw and 1.7 with £72 on the goals market for £38 overall.

Profit made on this trade = £38

Date: 05/10/08
Time: 14.00hrs GMT
Fixture: Serie A
Teams: Udinese V Torino - SCORE: 2 - 0
Our Recommendation:
Udinese haven't lost at home to Torino in a long time, over 15 years. In fact they haven't beaten a top half team in the last 12 attempts. Their most recent 5 H2H meetings were all won by Udinese. Udinese are one of the better home teams in this league, undefeated so far this season and when they play against teams in the bottom half we usually see them score twice. Torino should concede as they have done so in their last 5 and scoring against a weakened Udinese defense is likely. Both teams had tough midweek encounters so expect a few fringe players on the pitch as both teams picked up a few knocks to key players. For this match we will be laying the draw and trading out after a goal, its worth the risk of getting half your stake on the lay now at 3.5 as Udinese should score 1st getting the rest on inplay for slightly shorter odds and backing over 2.5 goals inplay, staggering our stake from around 10-15 min's in. Trading out of both trades after a goal or at 1.8 on the draw with the loss on the draw and at HT for no loss on under 2.5 by laying over 2.5 with the same stake on the goals trade, back in if a 3rd goal looks likely and more than 15 min's are left.

Our Trading Result:
We layed the draw at average odds of 3.42 and backed over 2.5 goals at average odds of 2.69. The opening goal came just before HT for us to trade out at 5.0 on the draw with £65 and 2.42 on the goals bet £38 overall.

Profit made on this trade = £38

Date: 05/10/08
Time: 15.00hrs GMT
Fixture: Premiership
Teams: Man City V Liverpool - SCORE: 2 - 3

Our Recommendation:
The key thing we think of when putting these two together is low scoring. The last 7 times these two have met we have seen the scoreline finish under 2.5 goals, in fact only 4 goals have been scored in these encounters. We do feel Liverpool are firing on all cylinders though and will win here as Man City still look a bit short of talent to really challenge the big boys. We will be backing under 2.5 goals here and trading out 10-15 min's in. If we see a goal in this time we will back again and hopefully trade out once the odds equalise. If we see two in this time it makes sense to move the loss onto under at this point. We will also be laying the draw here, trading out after a goal as the previous two meeting with City at home finished 0-0, and to see 3 consecutive is very, very rare. Same plan as above for trading out of the draw bet.

Our Trading Result:
We layed the draw at 3.4 and backed under 2.5 goals at 1.78. 14 mins in we traded out of the goals bet at 1.62 wieighting the profit slightly toward under and not too long after traded out of the draw trade at 3.55 with £95 when City opened the scoring for £13 overall.

Profit made on this trade = £13

Date: 06/10/08
Time: 19.45hrs GMT
Fixture: Serie B
Teams:Empoli V Livorno - SCORE: 2 - 1

Our Recommendation:
Both teams are still unbeaten so far this season with Empoli having slightly better results. Historically when these two meet with Empoli playing at home we see both teams scoring and over 2.5 goals. The away team very rarely wins with the home win or draw the result in all matches this millennium. Livorno come into this match having had two goalless results in a row. A 3rd 0-0 in a row has under a 1% probability so we should have at least a goal here and considering their record of conceding on their travels (90%) we should see a one, more than likely from Empoli who have now won 3 in a row. We will be laying the draw here and trading out after a goal (the 3.0 that is currently available looks ideal, but if your a bargain chaser like most traders please feel free to chase a better price). The over 2.5 goals market is of interest as a side trade inplay during the 1st half, staggering our stake from 10-15 min's in for a decent average price. If the match is goalless at HT we will trade out of the goals trade for no loss on under 2.5 by laying over 2.5 with the same stake. If the match is goalless when the draw odds reach 1.8 we will again trade out, with the loss on the draw as we should definitely see a goal.

Our Trading Result:
We layed the draw at 2.98 and didn't get in on the goals market as a goal game after 4 minutes. Regrettably it came from Livorno so the odds only moved out a little for us to trade out at 3.4. As we felt Empoli would definitely equalise we weighted the profit slightly towards the draw so only £10 profit.

Profit made on this trade = £10

Date: 07/10/08
Time: 19.45hrs GMT
Fixture:Blue Square Premier
Teams: Stevenage V Mansfield - SCORE: 3 - 2

Our Recommendation:
Stevenage at home are a banker for scoring and conceding against similar ranked teams to their opponents here. Mansfield are in a similar boat conceding in all their away games this season but pretty sharp up front scoring against teams with a defensive record similar to Stevenage. We wouldn't want to pick a winner here as they don't have any recent HT history and both teams have issues defensively but we are confident we will see at least 1 goal with over 2.5 goals pretty likely. We will be laying the draw and trading out after a goal (please feel free to stagger your stake for better value, just incase Mansfield score 1st), we will also be having a side trade on over 2.5 goals inplay during the 1st half, staggering our stake from 10-15 min's in as we feel a 1st half goal is on the cards. If the match is goalless at HT we will trade out of the goals bet for no loss on under 2.5 as usual by laying over, back in if a 3rd goal looks likely and more than 15 min's are left. If the match is goalless when the draw odds reach 1.8 we will trade out by backing the draw with the same stake putting the loss on the draw.

Our Trading Result:
We layed the draw at 3.55 and backed over 2.5 goals at average odds of 2.64. The opening goal came from Stevenage near the end of the 1st half for us to trade out at 4.3 with £82 on the goals bet and average odds of 2.24 with £57 on the goals bet for £27 profit.

Profit made on this trade = £27

Date: 08/10/08
Time: 19.45hrs GMT
Fixture:Johnston Paint Trophy
Teams: Rotherham V Leeds - SCORE: 4 - 2

Our Recommendation:
Rotherham are on a mission despite their administration issues. They are undefeated at home so far this season, scoring an average of over 2 goals a match and without their 17 points deduction they would be sitting in the top 4. Their recent defeat of Southampton was particularly impressive, so expect them to put up a fight. There opponents here are another team that has previously suffered a similar fate but has bounced back to be a potential Div 1 title chaser this season. We can't really see past a high scoring match here especially when you consider Leeds have scored 12 goals in their last 3 Cup matches and rarely keep a clean sheet on their travels in these type of encounters. We will be laying the draw here and trading out after a goal. This match could go either way so getting in on the draw at 3.7 might be a bad idea if Rotherham score 1st, so it makes sense to chase a better overall price (under 3.5). We will be having a side trade on over 2.5 goals as usual, getting in 10-15 min's in staggering our stake for a better price. If the match is goalless at HT we will trade out of the goals bet with the loss on over 2.5 by laying over with the same stake. We will get back in if a 3rd goal looks likely in the 2nd half with more than 15 min's left. If the match is goalless when the draw odds reach 1.8 we will trade out by back the draw with the same stake we layed it with.

Our Trading Result:
Before the opening goal we layed the draw with only £25 of the £100 we were looking to get on at 3.55 as we were chasing under 3.5 average odds and got £25 of the £50 we were looking to get on the goals side trade at 2.12. We traded out at 3.8 on the draw trade and 1.52 for an overall profit of £6 as we put £5 on the 0-0 at 15.5. Lots of members got back in after the equaliser so would have made a decent profit on this one.

Profit made on this trade = £6

Date: 09/10/08
Time: 19.45hrs GMT
Fixture:Blue Square Premier
Teams: Torquay V Oxford Utd - SCORE: 1 - 1

Our Recommendation:
After a poor start to the season Torquay have been quite impressive of late. Winning their last 3 at home and undefeated in 6 matches. They seem to have found their scoring boots, rather than just conceding. Oxford have been poor against teams we would expect them to beat but decent against the likes of Rushden and Cambridge who are sitting in the top half of the table so we aren't quite sure how to judge them at the moment. They have conceded in 9 of the last 10 on their travels though and have lost their last 2 away matches so will be looking for the win here but should concede. The most prominent trends we see when these two meet is goals and both teams scoring. The last 5 times these two have met at Torquay's home ground we have seen it finish over 2.5 goals with both teams scoring in 4 of these (5 goals per match on average). Looking at their current form, both teams have issues with keeping clean sheets so we see these trends continuing. Also the home team rarely looses when these two meet with the home win or draw being the result in 97% of previous meetings. We will be laying the draw here and trading out after a goal. The 3.55 that is currently available is likely to enable you to trade out for a profit if Torquay open the scoring or no loss if Oxford score but feel free to chase a better average price inplay. We will also be having a side trade on over 2.5 goals inplay during the 1st half, staggering our stake from 10-15 min's in for better value. If its goalless at HT we will trade out for no loss on under 2.5 by laying over 2.5 with the same stake, back in if a 3rd looks likely and more than 15 min's are left. We will also trade out of the draw trade at 1.8 if the match is goalless at this point, probably with the loss on the draw.

Our Trading Result:
We layed the draw at 3.55 with half our lay stake and also got half of our goal trade on at 2.1 before the opening goal. After Stevenage opened the scoring we traded out at 1.59 on the goals bet with £32 and 5.1 with £34 on the draw trade for an overall profit of £17 which was less than we anticipated as we traded out with the weight of profit in the wrong direction on both trades.

Profit made on this trade = £17

Date: 10/10/08
Time: 18.00hrs GMT
Fixture:World Cup Qualifier
Teams: Ukranie V Croatia - SCORE: 0 - 0

Our Recommendation:
Ukraine have made the perfect start to their campaign with wins over Belarus and Kazakhstan. Admittedly their real test starts here but they should be confident having won their last 4 matches. We are a little concerned about their defence which is likely to crack under the pressure from a strong Croatia side that will be looking for a positive result after their 4-1 loss to England. Tough call this one with Ukraine strong at home and Croatia stong on their travels and despite under 2.5 being well supported we feel that will see both teams scoring and with the draw odds fairly even we will be able to profit whoever scores 1st. We will be laying the draw here and trading out after a goal. Please feel free to stagger your stake for value although the current odds will move in your favour. We see a 1st half goal here so will be having a side trade on the goals market by laying under 2.5 goals, staggering our stake for a better price from 10-15 min's in. If the match is goalless at HT we will trade out for no loss on under 2.5 goals by backing under 2.5. If 3 goals look likely in the 2nd half with more than 15 mins left we will look to get back in. If the match is goalless when the draw odds reach 1.8 we will trade out with the loss on the draw.

Our Trading Result:
We layed the draw at 3.2 and layed under 2.5 goals at average odds of 1.41. After a high tempo start the match never delivered so we went in to the break goalless trading out of the goals bet at 1.16 for no loss should the match finish under 2.5 goals. The match continued goalless in the 2nd half so we traded out at 1.8 with the loss on the draw. We didn't grab any cover on the 0-0 here sticking to the preview as we saw a goal coming in the later stages so a loss of £140.

Fixture:World Cup Qualifier
Teams: Sweden V Portugal - SCORE: 0 - 0

Our Recommendation:
Portugal suffered a 3-2 defeat in their last qualifier at home to Denmark. They lost that game in a crazy last 10 minutes when they let a 1-0 and then a 2-1 lead slip.  But they will be boosted by the return of Ronaldo - though both teams are missing other star players (Portugal: Deco, Maniche and Carvalho; Sweden: Henrik Larsson and Linderoth and Melberg)  There is little doubt that Sweden are not the power they once were but there is one factor
that prevents me backing Portugal outright and its name is Ibrahimovic, a player capable of winning games on his own.  Although Sweden's current ranking of 28 (FIFA) is low historically, (cf. with Portugal who are 19th, one of their highest) their home record still warrants respect (W7 D2 L1), the one defeat a 3-2 in a recent friendly against France.  Also Portugal's away record against teams ranked in the top 30 is fairly patchy.  For this reason the sensible trade here is to lay the draw and trade out after hopefully a goal from Portugal. Should Sweden score first we will also trade out for no loss or a small profit although despite their strong home scoring record they have looked pretty poor in their most recent matches so hopefully we won't see them on the scoresheet 1st.

Our Trading Result:
We layed the draw at 2.96, no goals came before the draw odds reached 1.8 so we traded out with the loss on the draw. The inplay members traded the 0-0 in the 2nd half to end in a small profit but as its not in the prematch preview we will report another loss regrettably. Between David and ourselves we managed to pick four 0-0 matches which has to be the worst day of results we have personally seen in 7 years. David's inplay chaps experienced the benefit of live support by ending a very difficult day in profit. Click here to see

Fixture:World Cup Qualifier
Teams: Romania V France - SCORE: 0 - 0

Our Recommendation:
We are not sure if France are in decline or just having a blip. They have lost their last 2 on their travels but prior to this were undefeated in 20+ matches. Romania also suffer a surprise defeat from Lithuania a few games ago but bounced back to win their last two which to be honest is what we are expecting France to do here as Romania's record against top 10 teams is pretty poor even when playing at home. We are unlikely to see the same 0-0 defensive result we saw the last time these two met as 3 points is a priority for both teams and neither side has major selection problems like the last match, it will probably end in a draw. We will be laying the draw here and trading out after a goal, please feel free to stagger your stake although the odds should move in our favour whoever scores 1st. We will also be laying under 2.5 goals as a side trade. Same trade out plan as the Croatia match.

Our Trading Result:
We layed the draw at 3.2 and traded out after Romania took the lead early on at 3.8 with £87. Those who waited a short time would have seen a 2nd for better odds. Although we didn't mention waiting on the unders bet we did so got caught out so just the draw trade here for £22 profit

Teams: Eastbourne V Stevenage - SCORE: 2 - 1

Our Recommendation:
Sorry its late, IT issues! We will be backing over 2.5 goals inplay during the 1st half, trading out after a goal, staggering our stake from 10-15 mins in. If its goalless at HT we will trade out for no loss on under by laying over 2.5 with the same stake. If 2 goals come and more than 15 mins are left we will look to get back in.

Our Trading Result:
We backed over 2.5 goals at average odds of 1.98. No goal at HT despite it looking good for goals so we traded out for no loss on under 2.5 at average odds of 3.6. Two goals came fairly early in the 2nd half and as we felt this match would finish over 2.5 we moved the loss back onto under (advising all that contacted us to do so) by staggering our back stake for average odds of 2.14 overall with a £2 profit should the match finish over 2.5.

Fixture:Serie B
Teams: Salernitana V Empoli - SCORE: 0 - 1

Our Recommendation:
7 games in only 1 point separates these two. Salernitana are sitting in 3rd having only lost once in the last 10 at home, winning the majority of these matches scoring in 9 of these. Empoli are sitting in 2nd, undefeated winning their last 4. All things seem to have come into place for Empoli which has been evident since mid-September. We definitely aren't expecting a goal frenzy here as 9 of Salernitana's matches have finished under 2.5 and the last 7 for Empoli have also finished under but we do feel both teams will score here, so it might creep above 2 goals. H2H they haven't met since 2005 in the league and Empoli haven't won at Salernitana's home ground in a long time but from what we have seen of both teams this season its going to be an entertaining match.

We will be laying the draw here and trading out after a goal from either side. We will also be having a side trade, laying under 2.5 goals, trading out after a goal. Out at HT for no loss on under if its goalless at the break, back in if more than 15 min's are left. We will also be backing 0-2 and 2-0 as a side trade trading out by laying the relevant market that is available once a goal is scored (either laying 0-2 or 2-0). If its goalless when the draw odds reach 1.8 we will get out of the draw trade with the loss on the draw.

Our Trading Result:
We layed the draw at 2.72, layed under 2.5 goals at average odds of 1.33 and backed 0-2 at 17 and 2-0 at 19. Empoli delivered us a goal around 40 min's in for us to trade out on all bets. We got out at 3.75 with £70 on the draw bet, 1.58 with £46 on the goals bet and 7.2 on the 0-2 with £59. So overall £46

Fixture:Blue Square Premier
Teams: Burton V Mansfield - SCORE: 1 - 0

Our Recommendation:
Burton at home have been a blessing for us so far this season. They have scored in the last 10 consecutive matches scoring a very impressive (27 goals in total) and can't keep a clean sheet (conceded in 9 of the last 10 at home and all this season). Against offensively strong teams like Mansfield 85% of their matches have finished over 2.5 goals over the last 3 seasons. We can't remember these two meeting previously but with both teams playing attacking football it should deliver a few goals and with Mansfield conceding in all away matches this season but managing to score in the majority of them we should see both teams on the scoresheet with Burton coming out on top.

We will be laying the draw and trading out after a goal, the 3.6 that is currently available should just about cover you if either team scores 1st and if you want to get in early, but those who want to chase a better price please feel free. We will also be having a side trade on over 2.5 goals staggering our stake from 10-15mins in, trading out after a goal or at HT for no loss on under. If we see two goals in the 2nd half with more than 15 min's left we will get back in.

Our Trading Result:
We layed the draw at 3.5 and backed over 2.5 goals at average odds of 2.41. Not the game we were expecting but Burton took the lead as expected just before HT for us to trade out at 4.6 with £76 on the draw bet and 2.14 with £55 on the goals bet for £29 overall.

Fixture:World Cup Qualifer
Teams: Norway V Netherlands - SCORE: 0 - 1

Our Recommendation:
Home advantage doesn't really exist for Norway as they have a better away record in recent years. They are now 6 matches without a win and despite the 0-0 we felt at the weekend they are usually good for scoring and conceding (hence the last 4 matches ending in a draw). Netherland's look like they might have a few issues here as they have half a squad out injured but they have enough class up front to score here. We are not quite sure what we will see here but statistically Holland should avoid defeat as Norway haven't won any of their last 6 against similar ranked teams, they have also been behind at the break in most of their recent games. We will be laying the draw here and trading out after a goal, ideally from Netherlands. We will also be laying under 2.5 goals staggering our stake for value, trading out after a goal or at HT for no loss on under 2.5. If we see two goals in the 2nd half we will look to get back in if more than 15 min's are left.

Our Trading Result:
We layed the draw at average odds of 2.96 and backed under 2.5 goals at average odds of 1.52. No goals before the break so we traded out for no loss on under at 1.18. Holland opened the scoring at the perfect time a few minutes before the draw odds reached our usual 1.8 for us to trade out at 4.6 with £60 for £38 profit on the win.

Time: 19.45hrs GMT
Fixture:Blue Square Premier
Teams: Forest Green V Cambridge - SCORE: 2 - 2

Our Recommendation:
Forest Green have been pretty poor since the end of August, winning just 1 of their last 10, losing their last 4 at home. Cambridge are completely the opposite losing only 1 of the last 10 on their travels. The away team hasn't won any of their previous encounters which puts us off backing Cambridge, but with Cambridge looking much better on the form sheet they should avoid defeat at the very least. Forest Green have a pretty good home scoring record (scored 9 goals in the last 6) but the reason they rarely win is they can't keep a clean sheet at the moment, conceding an average of 2 goals a match at home over the last 10 matches. We aren't 100% sure about the goals market here as Forest are good for overs and Cambridge are a more cautious defensive side with strong under trends but we should see both sides scoring. We will be laying the draw here and trading out after a goal from either side (please feel free to stagger your stake) we will have a side trade on the over 2.5 goals staggering our stake from 10-15 mins in and will also be backing 0-2 and 2-0 trading out after a goal. As usual out at HT on the goals bet if it remains goalless with the loss on under 2.5 by laying over 2.5 with the same stake, back in if a 3rd looks likely with more than 15 mins left. Out at 1.8 on the draw if its still goalless at this point.

Our Trading Result:
We layed the draw at 3.35, backed over 2.5 goals at average odds of 2.41 with £35 of the £50 we were looking to get on and backed 0-2 at 15.5 and 2-0 at 21 with £25 each. Forest Green opened the scoring around the 20 min mark for us to trade out on all trade. Getting out at 4.1 with £81 on the draw, 1.7 with £45 on the goals and average odds of 8.4 with £62.50 on the 2-0 bet for £43 overall.

Profit made on this trade = £43

Time: 19.30hrs GMT
Fixture:Bundesliga
Teams: Bochum V Mönchengladbach - SCORE: 2 - 2

Our Recommendation:
Mönchengladbach showed us what they are capable of in their 3-2 defeat of the W. Bremen but apart from this match they have been pretty poor losing the other 6 matches they have had this season and are now without Head Coach Jos Luhukay after his recent exit. They have always had a problem conceding on their travels (9 of their last 10) and they usual are 1st to concede (19 of their last 20). They will be without Marin for this match which definitely won't help their chances. Bochum aren't having the best season but their 3-3 comeback from 3-1 down against Bayern gives us confidence in their abilities and against defensively poor sides they tend to score which is what we expect to see here and when they score against these teams 86% of matches have finished over 2.5. At home this season they have looked pretty sharp scoring 2 goals in each match so we are likely to see a positive result for the home side here. H2H Bochum have a strong record over their opponents undefeated in the last 13 meetings winning 6 of the last 8 at home and no 0-0's in site.

We will be laying the draw here and trading out after a goal, but not at the current 3.8 odds, preferring to chase a better price than 3.5. We will also be having a side trade on over 2.5 goals getting in around 10-15 min's in staggering our stake after this point for better value trading out after a goal.

Usual trade out plan on both these.

We have a little niggle about the 0-0 so will be putting £5 just incase. Currently at 17.5. You can always trade out of it if you feel goals are coming.

Our Trading Result:
We layed the draw at average odds of 3.35 and backed over 2.5 goals at average odds of 2.42. Regrettable Gladbach scored 1st so the draw odds didn't move much for us to trade out at 3.5 with £95 on the draw trade and 1.66 with £70 on the goals bet for £20 overall as we did put £5 on the 0-0.

Fixture: Bundesliga
Teams:Hertha Berlin V Stuttgart - SCORE: 2 - 1

Our Recommendation:
Hertha have a decent record against Stuttgart when playing at home in recent years. They have avoided defeat in the last 10 and have found the back of the net in most matches. Stuttgart were particularly impressive in their recent 4-1 win over Werder Bremen lets hope they carry the same form into this match and secure top spot with a win breaking this trend. Hertha are now without a win in 3 at home so should be motivated to fight for 3 points rather than soak up pressure from Stuttgart so we are expecting some goals, which is generally what you see when Hertha play a top 6 side. As the win odds are practically the same we will be laying the draw and trading out after a goal from either side. Please feel free to stagger your stake although you should profit whoever scores at the current odds. We will also be having a side trade on 0-2 and 2-0 (both sitting at 18.5) and also the over 2.5 goals market inplay during the 1st half, staggering our stake from 10-15 min's in.

Usual trade out plan on these trades.

The 0-0 and the other markets above are there for your consideration inplay if you feel its going to end goalless.

Our Trading Result:
We layed the draw at 3.45 backed overs at average odds of 2.68 and backed 0-2 and 2-0 at 18.5. The opening goal came at the half hour mark for us to trade out on all trades. We got out at 4 with £85 on the draw, 1.97 with £65 on the goals and 8.2 with just over £56 on the 2-0 correct score.

Time: 14.30hrs GMT
Fixture: Bundesliga
Teams: Werder Bremen v Borussia Dortmund - SCORE: 3 - 3

Our Recommendation:
Werder have a strong recorded of scoring in the 1st half and have very rarely let us down. So far this season they have hit the back of the net 17 times. They also have the worst defense in the league at the moment conceding 16 goals in the 7 games played this season, no wonder Thomas Schaaf has no hair. Obviously expect goals here! Dortmund have had a good start to the season and find themselves 1 point above Bremen but we aren't confident they can take points from this match as Bremen are very difficult to beat at home. Early feelings about this is a score draw but we are sure Bremen have the ability to win here. We will be backing over 2.5 goals here and trading out after a goal, staggering our stake as usual from around 10-15 min's in. We will also look to get in on the draw market by laying the draw but not at the current odds looking for under 3.5. We will follow our usual trade out plan on these.

The 0-0 is very unlikely here but its their for your consideration, currently available at 26. So are the other markets above.

Our Trading Result:
We layed the draw at 3.3 and backed over 2.5 goals at average odds of 1.96. We went into the break goalless despite all the signs of goals so we traded out for no loss on under at 3.1. Dortmund opened the scoring 59 min's in for us to trade out of the draw trade, the odds didn't move much for us to get out at 3.35 with £100. Bremen equalised about 10 min's later so we got back in at 1.61 moving the potential loss onto under but unfortunately not all our stake was taken before the goal so we ended £30 loss overall.

Time: 15.00hrs GMT
Fixture: Premiership
Teams: Aston Villa V Portsmouth - SCORE: 0 - 0

Our Recommendation:
Only one point separates these two and the visitors head into the match confident in the knowledge they did the double over Villa last season. Admittedly we are a little bias but Pompey's away form so far this season has been pretty poor losing 4 of their last 5 and they haven't scored on their travels since August. We do expect them to score here though as Villa just can't keep a clean sheet (conceded in 9 of the last 10) and both teams style of play supports goals. With both teams having better offence than defence we should be in for an entertaining match and with Villa having a strong 1st half scoring recorded we should see a goal before the break. We will be laying the draw here and trading out after a goal, please feel free to stagger your stake for better value just incase Pompey score 1st. We will also be having a side trade on over 2.5 goals, staggering our stake from 10-15mins in for better value. Usual trade out plan on these trades. The 0-0 and the other markets above are there for your consideration inplay if you feel its going to end goalless.

Our Trading Result:
We though we were quite lucky here as we we had put £50 on at 3.55 when picking the trade and were able to trade out at 4.1 before kick off for £6 profit. We had to wait until quite late into the 1st half to get back in on the draw at 3.5. We also backed over 2.5 goals at average odds of 3.06. We went into the break goalless so we traded out for no loss on under 2.5 a 5.0 on the goals trade. The match was still goalless when the draw odds reach our usual trade out point of 1.8 so we traded out with the loss on the draw. We had quite a few emails before and after this point about backing the 0-0 where we advised to cover half their potential loss which is what we did at 2.06 with £85. So overall a loss of £76

Profit made on this trade = -£76

Date: 18/10/08
Time: 17.00hrs GMT
Fixture: Serie A
Teams: Fiorentina V Reggina - SCORE: 3 - 0

Our Recommendation:
Fiorentina are well know as a strong home team against bottom-half sides winning the last 25 straight encounters. Reggina, on the other hand, really struggle on the road especially against strong home teams, losing nine of their last 12 and the last 6 H2H meeting against Fiorentina. They aren't as bad as there current league position shows so expect them to be competitive but they should lose here. We will be backing Fiorentina and trading out after they take the lead, please feel free to chase a better price inplay . If they go behind inside the 1st 30 min's we will look to back them again (if they look like pulling it back) trading out after they equalise. Later in the match we will look to lay Reggina if they are ahead at short odds. We will also be having a side trade laying under 2.5 goals, trading out at HT if it remains goalless with the loss on over, back in if 2 come and a 3rd looks likely with more than 15 left.

Our Trading Result:
We backed Fiorentina at average odds of 1.66 and layed under 2.5 goals at average odds of 1.47. Fiorentina were awarded a penalty and Campagnolo was sent off 38 min's in for us to trade out when they converted it to a goal. Getting out at 1.13 with £105 on the back bet and 2 on the goals with £45. With the non-favorite team down to 10 men it made sense to try to recoup the loss from the Villa match here which is what we advised those who asked for £70 profit.

Profit made on this trade = £70

Date: 19/10/08
Time: 14.00hrs GMT
Fixture: Serie A
Teams:Bologna V Lazio - SCORE: 3 - 1

Our Recommendation:
Lazio have started the season well and find themselves sitting top of the table and this has been achieved without their influential Captain Rocchi who returns for this match. In contrast, their newly promoted opponents here have lost their last 5 including all 3 at home. The main reason for Lazio sitting top is their superb attacking play which has netting 14 goals in their 6 games so far. They have won six of their last eight and on the road against promoted sides and are more than likely to make this 7. Bologna will probably score though as Lazio's style negates goals, they even conceded against bottom placed Cagliari. We will be laying the draw here and trading out after a goal. Please feel free to stagger your stake although you should be able to profit whoever scores 1st at current odds. We will also be having a side trade on over 2.5 goals inplay during the 1st half, getting in 10-15 min's in staggering our stake from this point. If Bologna open the scoring, laying them makes sense as Lazio should equalise. Don't do this unless you are feel they will though. Usual trade out plan on these bets. To confirm for the new members, out at 1.8 should it remain goalless on the draw trade with the loss on under and out at HT on the goals bet for no loss on under by laying over 2.5 with the same stake, back in if a 3rd looks likely and more than 15 min's are left.

If you are getting that 0-0 feeling then please consider some cover on this market and consider trading the markets above.

Our Trading Result:
We layed the draw at 3.35 and traded out at 3.5 with £96 a few min's later when Bologna caught Lazio with their heads still in the changing rooms. We didn't manage to get in on the goals bet as the goal came too early for us. Those who asked us about laying them we advised to wait another 10 mins to see how they respond. Before this point they were two behind so thought it was best to leave this alone. So overall £4 profit.

Profit made on this trade = £4

Date: 19/10/08
Time: 15.00hrs GMT
Fixture: Premiership
Teams: Hull V West Ham - SCORE: 1 - 0

Our Recommendation:
Hull have been this season's surprise team currently sitting in 3rd place with only 1 defeat from their 7 games. They are also on track for a 4th London scalp having already disposed of Spurs, Arsenal and Fulham. West Ham are likely to feel the pressure here and as they haven’t kept a clean sheet since February (19 games) and Hull are having no issues scoring so we should see a few goals. We are pretty confident Hull will concede though as the Hammers have scored in 10 of their last 11 and Hull's defence isn't that solid. We feel a score draw or home win is on cards here so will be laying the draw and trading out after a goal and backing over 2.5 goals inplay during the 1st half as a side trade. Same plan as above for trading out.

Our Trading Result:
Hull win again, who next Chelsea? We layed the draw at 3.35 and back over 2.5 goals at average odds of 2.84. Just before HT we traded out on the goals bet by accident at 4.9, with the intention of actually waiting until HT. Anyway we went into the break goalless so we would have traded out at this point anyway, getting out for no loss on under 2.5. Hull scored fairly early into the 2nd half for us to trade out at 4.2 with £79 for £20 profit.

Profit made on this trade = £20

Time: 20.00hrs GMT
Fixture: Premiership
Teams: Newcastle V Man City - SCORE: 2 - 2

Our Recommendation:
Normally we would back Newcastle to avoid defeat here (lay their opponents) as they have an excellent record of avoiding defeat in 3 consecutive home matches, but with Owen, Smith and Viduka out we feel they are very unlikely to continue this trend as they will probably need to score a few to win here. Man City are hard to judge at the moment but with their line up when it all comes together they are a superb side (just ask a Pompey fan). This match is highly likely to have goals with all of City's matches this season finishing over 2.5 goals as well as the majority of Newcastle's but we aren't 100% confident it will finish over 2.5 though, as a high score line usually means both teams scoring which we can't see Newcastle doing with their line up. We will be laying the draw here and trading out after a goal as we are sitting on the fence about backing City. Its also worth a side trade on over 2.5 goals inplay during the 1st half trading out after goal or at HT for no loss on under 2.5, back in if a 3rd looks likely with more than 15 min's left. If its goalless when the draw odds reach 1.8 we will trade out with the loss on the draw as usual.

Our Trading Result:
We layed the draw at 3.4 and backed over 2.5 goals at 2.1 with only £25 of the £50 we were looking to get on as the opening goal came 15 mins in. After the goal we traded out at 6.8 with £48 on the draw trade and 1.41 with £35 on the goals trade for £49 overall. Very impressed with Newcastle, especially after going behind and a man down. The trend continues..

Profit made on this trade = £49

Fixture: Champions League
Teams: Porto V Dynamo Kyiv - SCORE: 0 - 1

Our Recommendation:
Porto haven't lost at home in a long time in Europe (over 20 matches) and Dynamo are yet to win on their travels although this time out they have improved on their 6 straight losses to grab two points so far. Both teams are top of their respective leagues so form isn't an issue but Dynamo are still yet to impress on the European stage and playing Porto at home we find it hard to see them taking 3 points here where Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool and Marseille all failed. We will be backing Porto, (currently available at 1.72 and trading out after they take the lead. If they go behind inside the 1st 30 min's we will look to back them again to get higher average odds trading out after they equalise. Don't do this until your confident they will bring it level. If they go behind after this point we will look to lay Dynamo at short odds in the 2nd half (again only if Porto look like pulling it back). We will be having a side trade laying under 2.5 goals inplay during the 1st half as Porto have a strong record of getting on the score sheet early and 1st. Usual trade out plan if the match is goalless at the break, back in if a 3rd looks likely with more than 15 min's left. If its still goalless and Dynamo look like scoring and your concerned consider backing them in the next goal market just incase.

Our Trading Result:
We backed Porto at 1.72 and layed under 2.5 goals at average odds of 1.43. Dynamo opened the scoring 27min in for us to trade out of the goals bet at 2.36 with £30. Porto looked like pulling it back near HT so we put an extra £25 on to get average odds of 2.33 which would have enabled us to break even if they pulled it back in the 1st 15-20mins of the 2nd half. Unfortunately Dynamo prevented Porto getting anywhere near the goal defending their lead effectively with Porto lacking penetration so we ened up trading out at 10.0 with £27 to minimise the loss slightly. We didn't get a side bet on the next goals market which as highlighted above would have been a decent decision in reflection. Feedback from members lots got back in on the goals markets to walk away with a small loss or profit so well done to you. So overall an £80 loss. These Champions League matches are definately causing some suprises!

Lyon have won the last 7 meetings against similar ranked teams on their travels in Europe and Steaua are yet to win against similar ranked teams to Lyon and haven't won in the last 10 in this competition. Steaua need to win here to have any hope of continuing in this competition so we feel Lyon will have a bit of a fight here but with Steaua failing to win any of the last 10 we don't see any surprises on the cards although we might see a draw here as they are a tough challenge when playing at home. We will be laying the draw here and trading out after a goal ideally from Lyon but it shouldn't matter who scores 1st as the odds will move in our favour. Usual plan if we don't see any goals before the draw odds reach 1.8. We will also consider have a side trade laying under 2.5 goals inplay during the 1st half staggering our stake as usual. Out at HT for no loss on under 2.5 back in if a 3rd looks likely and more than 15 min's are left.

Our Trading Result:
We layed the draw at 3.25 here. The opening goal came a little too quick for us so we didn't get in on the goals market. A bit of luck here which doesn't happen to often for us but as we were waiting for our trade out bet of 4.0 to get accepted another goal came within 3 min's for us to trade out at 7.0 with £43 for £53 profit on the win. Hell of a comeback from Lyon to win 5-3 !

Fixture: Champions League
Teams: Alt Madrid V Liverpool - SCORE: 1 - 1

Our Recommendation:
Liverpool are on a roll, with only one loss in 27 in all competitions and are undefeated in 15 matches. Even without Fernando Torres (hamstring again) they should have enough to overcome an Atletio side that is struggling domestically losing 3 in a row coming into this match. Both teams have a strong scoring record in this competition so we won't be suprised if they both get on the score sheet here although we aren't expecting early goals. The best option here is lay the draw here and trade out after a goal as the odds will move in our favour whoever scores. We will also be backing under 2.5 goals for the 1st 10-15mins trading out earlier if someone looks like scoring. If a goal comes we will back again for higher odds trading out after the odds equalise. We also will be having a side trade on 0-2 and 2-0 (currently both available at 16.5) trading out after a goal. If the draw odds reach 1.8 before a goal we will trade out as usual.

Our Trading Result:
We layed the draw at 3.15, and backed under 2.5 goals at 1.74 also backed 0-2 and 2-0 at 16.5 as a side trade. We traded out of the goals bet at 1.57 with £111 a short time before the goal. A few members got caught out so we advised to back under 2.5 again and trade out once the odds put them back in profit which was successful. After Liverpool took the lead we traded out at 4.4 with £70 and got out of the 0-2 at average odds of 7.2 with just over £57 for an overall profit of £39

Fixture: Uefa Cup
Teams: Braga V Portsmouth - SCORE: 3 - 0

Our Recommendation:
This match could go either way. Braga have been less than impressive at home this season currently sitting 12th in their domestic league and Pompey are relatively inexperienced on the European stage but managed to defeat Guimaraes 4-2 on aggregate in the 1st round. We do feel this will be a tougher test for Pompey and feel they will concede here as Braga are a better side than Guimaraes but with Braga yet to defeat an English side at home (lost last 3) we have our fingers crossed that Pompey can grab a draw here. We will be laying the draw here and trading out after a goal from either side. Laying under 2.5 goals market is of interested as a side trade in the 1st half, staggering our stake for value as usual, getting in from around 10-15 min's if the game is open getting out after a goal or at HT for no loss on under as usual, back in if a 3rd looks likely in the 2nd half. If we can get over 17 on both the 0-2 and 2-0 we will also consider this as a side trade getting out after a goal.

Our Trading Result:
We layed the draw at 3.4 and regrettable didn't get in on the goals market as the opener came a little too quick for us. We did get in on the 0-2 and 2-0 bets at 16.5 but as we typed 17 (thought we put over 16) in the preview we won't mention the profit here. So after the opener from Braga we traded out at 4.2 with £79 for £20 profit.

Fixture: Bundesliga
Teams: Leverkusen V FC Koln - SCORE: 2 - 0

Our Recommendation:
Leverkusen can go top with a win here so they should be motivate to fight for the win. They will take confidence in that they have a 90% home win rate over promoted teams and FC Koln haven't registered an away win against a top half side in the Bundesliga this Millennium they have also lost the last 6 H2H encounters. Most of Leverkusen's wins against these sides has been by two goals so we are likely to see a few balls in the back of the net here especially considering their strong scoring record this season (20 goals in 8 games). Over 2.5 goals and the home win look on the cards here so we will be backing over 2.5 goals inplay during the 1st half and getting out after a goal or at HT with the loss on under but will be cautious that if two goals come early in the 2nd half we should look to get back in as a 3rd will be likely. If Leverkusen look dominant we will also look to get in on them as a side bet inplay, trading out after they take the lead or if they are behind back them trading out after they equalise.

Our Trading Result:
We actually saw very little reason to get in on this match during the 1st half only getting half a stake on the over 2.5 goals bet at average odds of 2.77. Feedback from members was a similar thought process. At HT we traded out for no loss on under 2.5 at 4.3. We also felt the match could go either way in the 1st half as Koln were stopping Leverkusen playing their usual free flowing game, so didn't back Leverkusen as a side bet at this point. They managed to take the lead 67 min's in and from this point it gave us confidence they would push on for their usual 2 goal lead so we put £25 on at 1.2 trading out at 1.04 after the 2nd goal. We didn't feel we needed to get back in on the goals bet as only a few min's were left and Leverkusen would waist the last few min's defending the lead.

Fixture: Premiership
Teams: Sunderland V Newcastle - SCORE: 2 - 1

Our Recommendation:
Sunderland haven't beaten Newcastle at the Stadium of light since the 1980's. Last season it ended in a draw but their will be no better time to put this unbeaten run to an end than now with the recent issues at Newcastle. Personally we feel this match has come a few games too late for Sunderland as the last two Newcastle matches showed they are beginning to get things right after their 5 straight losses. Both teams will be highly motivated here and with both teams having issues keeping a clean sheet we should see both teams scoring, but picking a winner will be a tough call so we will keep it simple by laying the draw and trading out after a goal and a side trade laying under 2.5 goals inplay during the 1st half looks like paying off as Newcastle have a bad habit of conceding before the break this season. Usual plan for trading out here on both bets.

Our Trading Result:
We layed the draw at 3.25 and backed under 2.5 goals with £38 of the £50 we were looking to get on at average odds of 1.52. Sunderland opened the scoring for us to trade out at 4.8 wit £65 on the draw trade and 2.44 on the goals trade for with £22 for an overall profit of £48

Date: 25/10/08
Time: 14.30hrs GMT
Fixture: Bundesliga
Teams: Hannover V W Bremen - SCORE: 1 - 1

Our Recommendation:
It should be safe to say we will see goals here. Bremen are the leagues top scorers hitting the back of the net 22 times in 8 games, they are also as leaky as an only bucket conceding 19 times in these games with all their away matches this season finishing +3.5 goals. Last season this match finished 4-3 to Hannover and the last 5 meetings between these two have seen a ridiculous 28 goals so again goals are likely. Regrettably there isn't much money on the goals market at the moment so we will be laying the draw here as the main trade, trading out after a goal and also having a side trade on over 2.5 goals inplay during the 1st half. The odds are really short so we will be staggering our stake inplay as usual for a better price. Usual trade out plan here on both bets. We will be taking a little cover on the 0-0 here as its available at 25 and only costs us a few quid for a safety bet. Please feel free to trade out of this inplay if your confident a goal is coming.

Our Trading Result:
We layed the draw at 3.8 and backed over 2.5 goals at 1.6 with £20 of the £50 we were looking to get on we also had £4 on the 0-0 at 25. Hannover opened the scoring for us to trade out at 4.3 with £88 on the draw at 1.23 with £23 on the goals for an overall profit of £9.

Date: 25/10/08
Time: 17.00hrs GMT
Fixture: Serie A
Teams: Siena V Catania - SCORE: 2 - 1

Our Recommendation:
Of these two Siena tend to start better, taking the lead in the majority of matches, conceding 1st in just 1 of the last 10 at home. So far this season they are undefeated when playing at home. Catania have had a good start to the season only losing once in their 8 games. They don't tend to start well on their travels and have conceded and scored in all their away matches this season. Historically when these two meet the draw is a key feature with the last 5 all ending in this result and under 2.5 goals is well supported with around 80% of both teams matches finishing under 2.5 goals. Whilst we do feel this will be relatively low scoring we also see a side taking the lead in the 1st half so will be laying the draw, trading out after a goal and laying under 2.5 goals inplay during the 1st half getting in 10-15 min's in staggering our stake for shorter odds as usual. Usual trade out plan for both these trades.

Please consider the 0-0 and other markets above should you feel the game is going to finish goalless.

Our Trading Result:
We layed the draw at average odds of 2.85 and layed under 2.5 goals at average odds of 1.48. Siena were definately in control here and were unlucky not to take the lead as expected. So we traded out for no loss on under 2.5 at 1.19 as planned at HT. After Maccarone was taken off we started to grab some cover on the 0-0 getting in at 3.05 trading out at 2.0 with all the profit on the 0-0. The opening goal came about 10 mins later from Siena 75 mins in so we were all square at this point, no profit or loss. Normally if a team looks like equalising when we are in this situation its common practice to lay the team that is ahead at odds around 1.2 or lower just incase we see an equaliser but Catania's goal was completely unexpected so caught us out. With 1-1 the most likely result now (the result of 6 of the last 7 H2H meetings) we were concerned that we wouldn't see another goal in the short time that was left and we were going to be left with the loss on the draw so backed the draw again for averge odds of 1.55 with £125 to reduce the potential loss for £100 to £60 advising everyone who asked that 1-1 was the most likely result now (feedback highlighted that most simply backed this result at this point).

Fixture: Premiership
Teams: Chelsea V Liverpool - SCORE: 0 - 1

Our Recommendation:
Since Benitez took the Helm, all but one of their H2H meetings with Chelsea have seen less than 3 goals. Its not just when these two meet a low scoring match is on the cards, 86% of Chelsea's matches against big 4 sides over the last few seasons have all seen a similar low scoring result. We will be backing under 2.5 goals, and trading out 10-15 min's in. After this point we will look to get in on the draw market, laying the draw and trading out after a goal. Last time out it finished 0-0, but we are pretty confident Chelsea will score here. Usual plan for trading out on the draw and if you are getting that 0-0 feeling later in the game start to grab some cover. If we see a goal before we have traded out of the under's trade back again trading out after the odds have equalised, if two come move the loss onto under 2.5 as there is over an 80% chance of a 3rd coming.

Our Trading Result:

We backed under 2.5 goals at 1.69. The opening goal came just before we were going to trade out so we didn't manage to get in on the draw bet. So we we backed under 2.5 again with £150 getting average odds of 2.28 overall. We then traded out at 2.2 with £257 for £11 on under 2.5. We also had a trade on the 0-0 market getting in at 3.65 out at 2.96 with the profit on the 0-0.

Time: 16.00hrs GMT
Fixture: Premiership
Teams: West Ham V Arsenal - SCORE: 0 - 2

Our Recommendation:
The last 4 times these two have met we saw less than 3 goals. We aren't expecting this match to finish under 2.5 as the Hammers just can't keep a clean sheet at the moment, but have a strong scoring record at home. They have conceded in the last 10 straight matches and 19 of the last 20, and scored in the last 7 consecutive matches with the final result of these matches finishing over 2.5 goals. An early goal has also been a feature of the majority of the Hammers matches so we will be backing over 2.5 goals, trading out after a goal inplay during the 1st half, staggering out stake from 10-15 min's in for value. Getting out after a goal or at HT for no loss on under, back in if a 3rd looks likely with more than 15 min's left. We will also be looking to lay the draw here, trading out after a goal but chasing shorter odds than currently available, under 3.5 should do it. Usual plan on the draw bet if we don't see any goals before the odds reach 1.8. If your getting that 0-0 feeling grab yourself some cover inplay.

Our Trading Result:
We backed over 2.5 goals at average odds of 2.68. Unfortunatley no goal in the 1st half so we traded out for no loss on under at 4.4 by laying over 2.5 with the same stake. We also got in on the draw trade at 3.4. It took a whilst but Arsenal opened the scoring at the perfect time for the odds to shoot way up. We gave it a few min's for the market to settle getting out at 13 with £21 for £75 profit overall. Arsenal scored again in injury time to secure the win. Feedback from members, most didn't bother trading out so would have had a better profit.

Date: 26/10/08
Time: 18.00hrs GMT
Fixture: Serie A
Teams: Villarreal V Atletico Madrid - SCORE: 4 - 4

Our Recommendation:
Villarreal find themselves in 2nd place coming into this match with a record of 5W-2D-0L so far this season. The main reason they are doing so well is because defensively they have been superb. In their last 10 home matches they have only conceded 1 goal, winning the last 8! Scoring hasn't been a problem for them as they have found the back of the net at least twice in all but 1 of their last 8 at home. Atletico have been somewhat disappointing of late losing their last 3 (admittedly against 3 decent sides) but their record against top half sides in recent times hasn't been good so we would expect Villarreal to take all 3 points here or at least draw. We will be laying the draw here and trading out after a goal. If you want to chase a better price please feel free. We will also be having a trade on under 2.5 goals, backing for the 1st 10-15 min's. If we see a goal before we have traded out we will back again trading out after the odds equalise (the more you back with the less time you will have to wait). If a 2nd comes before were out we will move the loss onto under. If the draw odds reach 1.8 before we have seen a goal, we will trade out as usual.

Our Trading Result:
The opening goal came a matter of seconds after the game went inplay whilst we were still discussing the Arsenal match with members, so didn't managed to get in on the draw bet. We got in on the under 2.5 goals bet as the market went back inplay at 3.6 and traded out 14 mins later at 2.9 with £120 for £19 profit.

Date: 27/10/08
Time: 19.30hrs GMT
Fixture: Ligue 2
Teams: Ajaccio V Strasbourg - SCORE: 1 - 1

Our Recommendation:
When these two meet we usually see a draw, in fact the last 5 finished in a stalemate. When both teams are performing at their current standard the majority of their draws have finished 2-2 and with both teams coming into this after their last match finishing 0-0 we should see goals (for those who got our 0-0 system last season you will know this). Strasbourg could go top with a win here so expect them to fight hard, but we also expect them to concede as they rarely keep a clean sheet on the road. Tough call picking a winner so we will probably weight our profit slightly towards the draw here if we see a goal before the draw odds reach 1.8 (our usual trade out point, if we don't see goals). So to clarify we will be laying the draw here and trading out after a goal, the current odds of 3.05 are fine, but please feel free to chase value. If the match gets to 1.8 on the draw odds and we haven't seen a goal we will trade out with the loss on the draw as we should see a goal but if your getting that 0-0 feeling inplay please grab some cover inplay by backing the 0-0 and trading out at a shorter price so you don't lose anthing should a goal be scored or letting the bet run if you prefer.

Our Trading Result:
We layed the draw at 2.94. Strasbourg opened the scoring shortly after kick off for us to trade out at 3.7 with £84 for £31 profit on the draw. Superb match !

Fixture: Bundesliga
Teams: W Bremen V Leverkusen - SCORE: 0 - 2

Our Recommendation:
The last 15 times these two have met at Werder's home ground both teams have scored with 14 of theses matches finishing over 2.5 goals. Werder have the better history by far but its Leverkusen who have started this season better and find themselves 1 point off top spot. The key thing for us here is Werder's defence, that are shocking at the moment although there are a few signs of improvement and with Mertesacker back it will help but against a team that has scored twice in their last 6 away games we can't see them shutting Leverkusen out. If Diego and Pizarro start for Werder expect to see them win but if not it might go the other way. We are not expecting a draw here. We will be laying the draw and trading out after a goal, please feel free chase a better price although the 3.55 that is currently available should just about be safe if either team scores. The 0-0 is available at 26 so £5 on this will give you some piece of mind. Please also feel free to have a side trade laying over 2.5 goals (currently at 1.49) for the 1st 10 min's or so as we expect them to keep it tight for the 1st 15 min's then let loose. Whilst we do feel it will finish over 2.5 goals we are a little concerned about trading on this market as getting out at HT as usual if we don't see a goals could easily go against us with their scoring records in the 2nd half. If we see a goal before we have got out of the lay bet on over's we will back again, trading out after the odds equalise, if another one comes move the loss onto under.

Our Trading Result:
We layed the draw at average odds of 3.45, layed over 2.5 goals at 1.49 and backed 0-0 with £5 at 26. We traded out 1.68 on the goals bet with £44 for just over £5 which covered the £5 0-0 bet we put on at 26. The opener came from Leverkusen for us to trade out at 4.2 with £79 for £20 on the win so overall just over £20.

Time: 19.45hrs GMT
Fixture: Premiership
Teams: Fulham V Wigan - SCORE: 2 - 0

Our Recommendation:
So many suitable matches to choose from today but this is one which stands out. Both team are very similar in abilities and currently sitting next to each other in the table on the same number of points. We initially had high hopes for Wigan after seeing out Sept undefeated but they then lost 3 in a row in October coming into this match. Fulham have been pretty hit and miss of late but definitely seem to have something missing up front only managing to score twice in the last 5. Wigan will have Heskey in search of his 100th goal here and Antonio Valencia looks to return for this encounter. The key stand out stat here is under 2.5 goals. 15 of the last 16 meeting have all finished under 2. 5 goals. The majority of these meeting have been won by the home team but Wigan look to have the edge this time out. We would advise you to back under 2.5 goals and trade out 10-15mins in. If a goal comes back again, trading out once the odds are equalised, if you see two before trading out we will get back in moving the potential loss onto under 2.5 goals as its likely to finish over 2.5 goals. We will also advise you lay the draw here and trade out after a goal, you should be pretty safe whoever scores 1st. Those who like the safety you might want to consider putting the profit (lets hope we get some) from the under trade onto the 0-0. Usual plan if we don't see a goal before the draw odds reach 1.8

Our Trading Result:
We were unavailable for this match as we went to watch the Villa game so we won't report a profit here.

Well a goal at 11 min's would have caught some members out on the goals trade but plenty of time to back again and trade out in profit between the 2nd goal. The match didn't finish in a draw so a double winner for who ever traded this match for around £20-£30 profit.

Date: 30/10/08
Time: 19.45hrs GMT
Fixture: Blue Square Premier
Teams: Salisbury V Crawley - SCORE: 2 - 0

Our Recommendation:
Looking at the H2H history you would give this to Salisbury as Crawley haven't beaten them home or away but everything else points towards an away win here. Salisbury have now lost 6 in a row which is rather strange as they started the season pretty well. Personally fitness has looked a little suspect later on in matches hence why they have conceded 90% of their goals against after the break. Crawley usually score early and will be pushing for top spot here so this will definitely test Salisbury's early resilience so the only real option here is to lay the draw trading out after a goal. We do feel Salisbury can keep it tight for at least the 1st 15 min's here so will be backing under 2.5 goals as a side trade for 10-15 min's (if we have enough liquidity 50k, we will move it up to a main trade). Same plan for trading out as the last few similar trades. If you want some protection put your potential profit from the goals trade on the 0-0.

Our Trading Result:
We layed the draw at 3.5 and backed under 2.5 at 2.04. No goals in the 1st half which meant the under's bet went well enabling us to get out at average odds of 1.78 with £114. We were fairly confident we would see a goal in the 2nd half but took the safety option putting £8 of the the £14 profit from the goals bet on 0-0. After the break Rayner scored an own goal putting the home side ahead for us to trade out at 3.6 with £97. From feedback lots of members waited for better odds as Crawley didn't look like pulling it back and would have been rewarded by a 2nd goal later in the half for a decent profit. We only picked up £7 unfortunately.

Date: 31/10/08
Time: 19.30hrs GMT
Fixture: Bundesliga
Teams: Leverkusen V Wolfsburg - SCORE: 2 - 0

Our Recommendation:
We weren't going to do a trade tonight but lots of you have asked about this match. Basically Leverkusen have looked very strong in recent weeks, winning 5 of the last 6. Defensively we have seen some improvements and scoring definitely hasn't been a problem as they are averaging 2.6 goals a game over the last 10 matches. Against Wolfsburg we should definitely see goals from both sides as they are home team specialists, without an away win so far this season but have managed to score in the last 8 (and concede). The 2nd half tends to be more eventful for both sides so it might take a whilst for a goal to be scored but it should finish over 2.5 just like the last 10 Wolfsburg away matches. A point to note is Leverkusen have only seen 1 draw in 35 matches which is very unusual but bizarrely it was against Wolfsburg so we might be in for another one (hopefully not goalless though). They haven't lost to Wolfsburg when playing at home since the 90's. We will be backing under 2.5 goals for the 1st 10-15 min's and trading out ideally before a goal, if we see one before this point we will back again, and if another one comes before were out we will move the loss onto under 2.5. We will also be laying the draw here and trading out after a goal, ideally under 3.5 just incase Wolfsburg score 1st. The 0-0 is their for your consideration so if you want to put some of the under's profit on it please do for some safety.

Our Trading Result:
We backed under 2.5 goals at 2.52. No goals as expected before we traded out at 2.14 with £119. We only put £5 of the profit on the 0-0 at 14.5 as were pretty certain we would see the usual high tempo 2nd half from these two with a couple of goals as usual. We also layed the draw at average odds of 3.3. The opener came from the dominant side Leverkusen for us to trade out at 5.3 with £59. So overall £49

Profit made on this trade = £49
