Trades Completed in Detail

Date: 1st October
Time: 3.00pm
Fixture: Premiership
Teams: Man Utd v Newcastle - SCORE: 2-0
Our Recommendation:
Man Utd have had a couple of tough games and will want to win this one at home. Especially after being beaten by Arsenal there last time. Newcastle are always good for a couple of goals so we should see a good high scoring match here. The trade is to back over 2.5 goals and get out either after the first goal or second. If the first goal is an early one we'll probably hang in there for a second. If it comes after 20-30 minutes however it is probably worth getting out then.
Our Trading Result:
Another nive trade here although the teams kept us waiting for this goal. The first came from Man Utd after 40 minutes and the odds weren't quite good enough for us to get a good profitable trade out. Man Utd quickly scored again though just after the start of the second half which gave us our profit.

Profit made on this trade = £35

Date: 4th October
Time: 7.45pm
Fixture: Conference League
Teams: Weymouth v Gravesend - SCORE: 2-1
Our Recommendation:
Not a lot of midweek football to choose from this week. This match looks like a good one for backing under 2.5 goals at odds around 1.80. Weymouth aren't very good at scoring a lot of goals against teams lower than them and Gravesend aren't too good at scoring against teams above them. Should be a recipe for less than 3 goals. We'll be looking to trade out of this one by laying the under 2.5 goals market between 30-45 minutes.
Our Trading Result:
We got our back bet on this trade at 1.78. All was looking good until the first and second goals came on the 17th and 18th minute. The odds obviously shot up on the under 2.5 goals market and we were stuck in the trade at half time with a 1-1 draw. Weymouth sealed our fate on this one by getting the third goal in the 65th minute. Can't win them all unfortunately.

Profit made on this trade = £-100

Date: 6th October
Time: 8.00pm
Fixture: U21 EURO Championship
Teams: England U21 v Germany U21 - SCORE: 1-0
Our Recommendation:
There should be a winner here. It is highly unlikely we will see a draw between England and Germany at any time and the odds on the draw are very favourable. Lay the draw (around 3.60) and trade out after the first goal. We should get better odds if England score first but the trade should be there no matter who scores.
Our Trading Result:
We layed the draw on this one at 3.45. It was a long time coming but England scored late in the second half and we rode it out to the end for 100% profit as it didn't look like the over 2.5 goals trade we had would profit.

Profit made on this trade = £100

Date: 6th October
Time: 8.00pm
Fixture: U21 EURO Championship
Teams: England U21 v Germany U21 - SCORE: 1-0
Our Recommendation:
We need to make up for the loss on Wednesday so we're going to be backing over 2.5 goals in this match as well as the draw. Should be able to get out after the first goal which will more than likely be before 30 minutes in the first half.
Our Trading Result:
We backed the over 2.5 goals market at 2.22. Unfortunately England left it really late before they scored and it didn't go as planned so we lost the money on this trade but got the money back on the other trade on this match.

Profit made on this trade = £-100

Date: 7th October
Time: 5.00pm
Fixture: European Championships
Teams: England v FYR Macedonia - SCORE: 0-0
Our Recommendation:
England should fare well against Macedonia and the odds reflect that. We should see more than 2.5 goals in this match (odds around 1.52) so we'll be backing that market and depending on how the first half goes we should be able to trade out at half time or after about 30 minutes. Every possibility of 2 goals in the first half so the brave may want to ride the match out and go for 100% profit.
Our Trading Result:
We backed over 2.5 goals at 1.61. Good old England failed us yet again by settling for the 0-0 draw and we lost this trade completely unfortunately.

Profit made on this trade = £-100

Date: 7th October
Time: 12.15pm
Fixture: Coca-Cola League 1
Teams: Nottm Forest v Scunthorpe - SCORE: 0-4
Our Recommendation:
We will be laying the draw on this match (around 3.85) as there should be a winner in this match. Scunthorpe have lost 3 out of 4 away games this season and with Nottingham at the top of the league we should see a comfortable win for one of them.
Our Trading Result:
We layed the draw at 3.80 on this trade. Unfortunately Scunthorpe scored first and we couldn't get out of the trade as the odds didn't allow a profit. They scored again late in the first half which gave us odds of 6.80 to trade out on but as there was a 2 goal buffer we waited to see if we could get a 100% profit on this one. Scumthorpe scored a third in the second half securing our 100% profit on this one.

Profit made on this trade = £100

Date: 8th October
Time: 1.30pm
Fixture: Coca-Cola League 1
Teams: Brighton v Blackpool - SCORE: 0-3
Our Recommendation:
We are laying the draw on this match again (around 3.50) and trading out after the first goal is scored hopefully by Brighton. Blackpool have drawn 4 of their last 5 matches and Brighton have drawn 2 but Brighton don't have 0-0 draws often and they have won 4 out of 5 home games so far this season.
Our Trading Result:
We layed the draw at 3.55 on this match and Blackpool got the first goal early in the first half. The odds on the draw were only 3.90 so we hung in there as there wasn't much profit to be had. The second goal came after around 60 minutes and again was scored by Blackpool. This gave us our trade out at odds of 15.5. It was a while coming but we got there in the end.

Profit made on this trade = £81

Date: 8th October
Time: 1.30pm
Fixture: Coca-Cola League 1
Teams: Brighton v Blackpool - SCORE: 0-3
Our Recommendation:
Half of Brighton's matches this season have resulted in more than 3 goals and 4 out of 5 of their home games have been over 3 goals as well. This should be a good one to be on the over 2.5 goals market with (around 2.14) and get out of the match by laying the same market after wither the first or second goal depending how brave you are and when the first goal comes.
Our Trading Result:
We got our back bet on this one at 2.16. The first goal came fairly early on in the first half and gave us trade out odds of 1.64 and a nice easy profit. For those that stayed in the trade the second goal came at 61 minutes giving 1.75 and another oportunity to get out if the first was missed.

Profit made on this trade = £42

Date: 11th October
Time: 8.00pm
Fixture: EURO 2008 Qualifier
Teams: Northern Ireland v Latvia - SCORE: 1-0
Our Recommendation:
We're not trading on England again after their last performance so we though we'd go for Ireland! Also that is a 6.00pm kick off and we know some people will still be at work. Should get a winner here and more than likely Ireland will be able to get some points here. We're going to lay the draw and trade out after the first goal if it is scored by Ireland. It they don't get the first we may need to hang in there for a while but there should be a winner in this one.
Our Trading Result:
We layed the draw at 3.20 on this one. The odds on both teams were pretty even. Northern Ireland scored after 35 minutes giving us a trade out which we took at 5.00. Nice easy profit for this match.

Profit made on this trade = £40

Date: 14th October
Time: 12.45pm
Fixture: Premiership
Teams: Wigan v Man Utd - SCORE: 3-1
Our Recommendation:
With Man Utd at the top of the table having won 5 of their 7 so far and never having had a 0-0 draw this should go to them. Wigan have won just 1 game this season and will have a tough match. We will lay the draw (around 4.50) and trade out after Man Utd hopefully score first. If Wigan get in first we'll have to wait but it should not end in a draw.
Our Trading Result:
We layed the draw at 3.95 on this match. Wigan kicked this one off with a goal after 5 minutes which didn't help us. We had to wait until the 69th minute when Man Utd scored their second and gave us the trade out odds we needed. Good result.

Profit made on this trade = £50

Date: 14th October
Time: 3.00pm
Fixture: Premiership
Teams: Portsmouth v West Ham - SCORE: 2-0
Our Recommendation:
West Ham have lost their last 3 matches and there have been goals in every game so far. Pompey have lost the last 2 games and this should result in a winner so we'll be laying the draw again here (around 3.60) and getting out after with luck Pompey score the first as they are narrow favourites being at home.
Our Trading Result:
We layed the draw at 3.45 on this match. As expected Pompey scored the first goal after just 24 minutes and gave us the odds we needed to trade out on. Good results and nice easy trade.

Profit made on this trade = £38

Date: 14th October
Time: 5.15pm
Fixture: Premiership
Teams: Reading v Chelsea - SCORE: 0-1
Our Recommendation:
These two are on form and Reading have only lost 2 games which were both away from home. A majority of the matches have also been under 3 goals. The same can be said for Chelsea and both tems will probably play fairly tight matches and defensively. We'll be backing under 2.5 goals on this match (around 1.90) and depending on what happens in the first half we'll initially look at getting out of the trade around 30-40 minutes in without a goal. If a goal comes we'll have to wait till the second half and get out hopefully around 60 minutes.
Our Trading Result:
We backed the under 2.5 goals market on this match at 1.85. This worked like a dream with Chelsea getting a lucky own goal on the stroke of half time. We traded out of this one on 40 minutes and secured our profit although you could have stayed in and taken 100% profit on this one.

Profit made on this trade = £58

Date: 15th October
Time: 4.00pm
Fixture: Premiership
Teams: Newcastle v Bolton - SCORE: 1-2
Our Recommendation:
With Bolton approaching the top of the table they will be playing for a safe win. With both sides the scorelines in a vast majority of theit matches have been under 3 goals so the trade here is to back under 2.5 goals (around 1.68) and trade out by laying the same market. If there isn't a goal by 30-40 minutes we'll be looking to get out then. If a goal has emerged by then we'll probably have to wait till around 60-70 minutes to get a profit.
Our Trading Result:
We backed under 2.5 goals at odd of 1.64. Newcastle scored after just 19 minutes so at half time odds of 1.54 were available to trade out on. Only a tiny profit on this one unfortunately.

Profit made on this trade = £10

Date: 17th October
Time: 7.45pm
Fixture: Champions League
Teams: Celtic v Benfica - SCORE: 3-0
Our Recommendation:
Celtic are on fire at the moment and have won their last 6 in a row in the domestic league as well as not losing a home match all season. Although this is The Champions League they should still be able to get this one and the odds on the draw are very generous. We'll be laying the draw on this match (around 3.30) and trading out after a goal is scored. If Celtic get it we're home and dry. If Benfica do we will get a smaller profit but it should still be a profit.
Our Trading Result:
We layed the draw at 3.25 on this match. Celtic scored in the second half after around 55 minutes and we got the trade out odds we needed at 4.60. Very stingy odds considering the match was in the second half and we weighted the trade towards any winner to maximise the profit. Should have got more on this one but on to the next. Celtic scored again after 66 minutes giving much better odds of 46.00! If you hung in there well done adn you would have been rewarded by almost 100% profit.

Profit made on this trade = £30

Date: 18th October
Time: 7.45pm
Fixture: Champions League
Teams: Chelsea v Barcelona - SCORE: 1-0
Our Recommendation:
Both of these are on fire in the domestic leagues as expected and Barcelona matches seem to always produce lots of goals. Again there should be a winner here and we are laying the draw (around 3.25) and trading out after a goal. It shouldn't matter who scores. The odds are fairly even on this one.
Our Trading Result:
We got our lay on the draw at 3.15. The first goal came early in the second half by Chelsea and gave us our trade out odds of 4.50 safeguarding our profit.

Profit made on this trade = £52

Date: 18th October
Time: 7.45pm
Fixture: Champions League
Teams: Chelsea v Barcelona - SCORE: 1-0
Our Recommendation:
SIDE BET: We're going to have a side bet backing over 2.5 goals on this match too. We're only staking £50 on this as the odds are around 2.32 and being a Champions League match anything could happen. We're thinking there could be early goals so a good opportunity to get out of the trade in the first half with a profit.
Our Trading Result:
The odds were great on this one and we backed over 2.5 goals at 2.54. The first goal came very early in the second half and allowed odds of 2.90. Not enough to trade out with a profit but at least we minimised out losses.

Profit made on this trade = £-30

Date: 19th October
Time: 8.00pm
Fixture: UEFA Cup
Teams: Newcastle v Fenerbahce - SCORE: 1-0
Our Recommendation:
It's not often we play one of these trades but in this case we are going to be laying a team. Newcastle are in poor form and tonight they meet an in form Fenerbahce from Turkey. Although they are at home there is a good chance they will struggle. We are laying Newcastle (around 2.14) and will be looking to trade out wither at half time by backing them or after a goal by the away team.
Our Trading Result:
We layed Newcastle on this match with odds of 2.02. Half time came and the score was 0-0 with Newcastle struggling as we thought. The odds on backing Newcastle were 2.72. £70 profit to play with and spread across our bets. Newcastle scored after 79 minutes but the profit was already in the bag.

Profit made on this trade = £44

Date: 21st October
Time: 3.00pm
Fixture: Premiership
Teams: Chelsea v Portsmouth - SCORE: 2-1
Our Recommendation:
We're going to have another little experiment here. With Protsmouth and Chelsea near the top of the table the odds on offer here are a little too biased towards a Chelsea win. Portsmouth will be playing for a draw and as they are away will be eager not to concede an early goal. We are going to lay Chelsea (around 1.33 so only a tiny liability) with a view to trading out after around 30-45 minutes hopefully without a goal from Chelsea..
Our Trading Result:
We got our lay bet on Chelsea at 1.30. As expected we had a 0-0 scoreline at half time and the odds on Chelsea had jumped to 1.49 and a quick £19 profit was available. Considering our liability here was only £30 thats not a bad profit ratio. We weighted our profit towards Chelsea and low and behold they won comfortably in the end.

Profit made on this trade = £19

Date: 21st October
Time: 5.15pm
Fixture: Premiership
Teams: Aston Villa v Fulham - SCORE: 1-1
Our Recommendation:
Back the draw on this match (around 3.75) and trade out around 30 - 45 minutes. These two teams are fairly evenly matched and both like to draw matches, especially Villa! If one team does get ahead in the first half there is a good chance of an equalising goal and we should be able to get a trade out in that instance too.
Our Trading Result:
We backed the draw on this match at 3.70. Villa received a penalty after 26 minutes which hurt our odds and chances of a trade out. Fulham obliged us and equalised on the stroke of half time giving odds to trade out with a lay of 2.44. This gave us £126 pure profit to play with.

Profit made on this trade = £78

Date: 24th October
Time: 7.45pm
Fixture: Carling Cup
Teams: Chesterfield v West Ham - SCORE: 2-1
Our Recommendation:
Although West Ham are having major difficulties in the Premiership and moral is low they should get a win tonight against a second division team. It will probably be a little tight too. We're going to back West Ham (around 1.74) and look to trade out after they score. We should be looking at an easy profit on this one.
Our Trading Result:
We got our back bet on West Ham at 1.70. West Ham scored for us after just 4 minutes securing trade out odds of 1.18 and we got straight out. Nice swift profit for us on this one.

Profit made on this trade = £18

Date: 25th October
Time: 7.45pm
Fixture: Carling Cup
Teams: Crewe v Man Utd - SCORE: 0-1
Our Recommendation:
This should be easy for Man Utd but being the Carling Cup anything could happen. One thing is for sure there will be some goals. We're backing over 2.5 goals (around 1.76) on this match and we'll be looking to get out in 2 ways. If an early goal is scored (under 15-20 minutes) we'll probably wait in the trade a litle longer. If there isn't goal till later we'll probably get straight out.
Our Trading Result:
We got our bet on the over 2.5 goals market at 1.76. Man Utd scored the first goal after 26 minutes giving trade out odds of 1.59. We weighted our profit towards over 2.5 goals and unfortunately there weren't. £0 profit but £0 loss on this one!

Profit made on this trade = £0.00

Date: 30th October
Time: 8.00pm
Fixture: Premiership
Teams: Man City v Middlesbrough - SCORE: 1-0
Our Recommendation:
This game should be a close one and one without may goals so we're going to back the under 2.5 goals market here. The odds should be around 1.70 and we'll be looking to trade out of this at around 1.30-1.40 which will hopefully be approaching half time. If a gol is scored early on we'll have to wait till the second half probably to get the trade out.
Our Trading Result:
We got our back bet on under 2.5 goals at 1.69. The first goal came on 23 minutes which stopped out trade out possibilities at half time. We hung in there and after 20 minutes into the second half there were no more goals. We stayed in the trade and took 100% profit.

Profit made on this trade = £69

Date: 30th October
Time: 8.00pm
Fixture: Premiership
Teams: Man City v Middlesbrough - SCORE: 1-0
Our Recommendation:
We're trading on the same match here but this time we'll be backing the draw and again looking to trade out shortly before half time maybe between 30-40 minutes in. The odds on the draw will be around 3.35 hopefully so even a small drop on the odds as the match progresses will give a nice profit. These two teams like a draw and even if a goal is scored early in the first half we would expect an equaliser.
Our Trading Result:
We backed the draw at 3.40 and unfortunately the first goal came in just 23 minutes and no more came for this one. We lost the whole stake on this trade which dos not happen often.

Profit made on this trade = £-100

Date: 31st October
Time: 7.45pm
Fixture: Champions League
Teams: Barcelona v Chelsea - SCORE: 2-2
Our Recommendation:
We're going to trade on this one by laying the draw and trading out after the first goal which will hopefully come from Chelsea. You should be able to get odds around 3.35 laying the draw. Both of these teams are on form and average 2 goals a game so we should see a winner in the match but only a couple of goals here.
Our Trading Result:
We got our lay bet on this one at 3.40. What an easy way to make money eh. Barcelona scored after just 3 minutes and we got our trade out with odds of 5.10. Securing our profit on this one very, very quickly. £170 profit to spread across our bets.

Profit made on this trade = £35

Date: 31st October
Time: 7.45pm
Fixture: Champions League
Teams: Liverpool v Bordeaux - SCORE: 3-0
Our Recommendation:
This is a great game for laying the draw again. The odds are a very generous 4.50 at the moment so we'll be laying this. Hopefully as expected Liverpool will score first on this one and we'll get a very nice profit by trading out straight away.
Our Trading Result:
We got this lay on at 4.40 on the draw. The first goal came after 23 minutes by Liverpool securing our profit on this one at odds of 8.40. Another easy profit and a very nice trade to finish the month off with!

Profit made on this trade = £65
