| Date: 01/07/09 |
| Time: 18.35 GMT |
| Fixture: Tippeligaen |
| Teams: Lillestrom V Start - SCORE: 3 - 2 |
Our Recommendation:
Anyone following the Tippeligan this season will know Lillestrom just can't keep a clean sheet but also have a knack for scoring making them a excellent side for trading on. Their last 10 at home has seen over 30 goals with both sides on the scoresheet which is exactly what we expect to see here. H2H Start walked all over them back in May but Lillestrom are on an uptrend undefeated in 6 and haven't lost to Start on home soil since the early 90's so this is going to be an interesting match. For this match we will be laying the draw trading out after a goal, and also having a small side trade on over 2.5 goals inplay during the 1st half, following the usual plan if its goalless at the break (trading out with the same stake by laying over), backing further as the odds drift with a few quid after the break if concerned 3 look likely for safety. Out at 1.8 on the draw as usual if its goalless loss on the draw. We will grab some cover on the 0-0, £5 initially backing further if concerned inplay.
|
Our Trading Result:
We layed the draw at average odds of 3.5, backed the 0-0 at 15.5 with £5 and backed over 2.5 goals at average odds of 2.06 with £16 before the opener. Lillestrom were awarded a penalty which they converted midway through the 1st half for us to trade out on the draw trade at 4.5 on the draw with £77 and 1.52 on the goals trade with £22 for £22 overall.

| Fixture: Tippeligaen |
| Teams: Sandefjord V Odd Grenland - SCORE: 1 - 2 |
Our Recommendation:
This game looks good for goals. You only have to look at the 0-0 odds (21) to see how punters feel about this one. Odd Grenland look the sharper side and haven't failed to score in the last 10 but also like to let them in so you won't be surprised when we highlight that their last 7 away games have seen both sides on the scoresheet. Sandefjord are winless in 8 so will be looking for the win here so you might see a change from their usual sluggish start, but we are yet to see an improvement defensively so we can't see them picking up more than a draw here.
|
We layed the draw at average odds of 3.65 backed the 0-0 at 19.5 and backed over 2.5 goals with £19 at avergae odds of 2.18 before the opener from Sandefjord. After the goal we traded out of the draw trade at 3.7 with £99 and 1.52 on the goals trade with £26 for £5 overall.

| Fixture: Uhrencup |
| Teams: Young Boys V Panathinaikos - SCORE: 1 - 2 |
Our Recommendation:
This will be interesting. Both these two finished last season in a top 3 place but come into this match with minimal match fitness as this friendly competition will be used to get their players sharp before their season kicks off shortly. In general Young Boys have a strong home record, undefeated in 13 with around 90% of these matches finishing over 2.5 goals. Because of this strong scoring ability we won't be surprised if they emerge winners here. Saying this defensively they still tend to concede against decent sides so Panathinaikos also scoring looks likely here. Defensively Panathinaikos are a tough nut to crack undefeated in 11 so Young Boys scoring more than 1 or 2 doesn't look likely but we should see the deadlock broken by either side with the usual pre-season silly errors going on. We will grab some cover on the 0-0, £7 initially backing further if concerned inplay.
|
Our Trading Result:
We layed the draw at 3.6 backed the 0-0 at 15.5 with £7 and backed over 2.5 goals with £6 at average odds of 1.82 before the opener from Panathinaikos. After the goal we traded out of the draw trade at 4.2 with £85 and 1.38 on the goals trade with £8 for £9 overall.

| Fixture: Allsvenskan |
| Teams: - SCORE: 2 - 1 |
Our Recommendation:
Djurgarden are sitting 2nd from bottom but in their last 3 games they have shown a marked improvement, admittedly this was against sides in the bottom half but they should cause Helsingborg a few issues and are likely to continue their record of scoring against Helsingborg when at home (last 10 games). Helsingborg are sitting 3rd but come into this match on the back of a couple of away losses so will be focused on the win as they won't want to lose anymore ground on the top two. This match looks good for both sides scoring which is has happened in 9 of their last 10 H2H meetings. For this match we will be laying the draw trading out after a goal, and also having a side trade on over 2.5 goals inplay during the 1st half, following the usual plan if its goalless at the break (trading out with the same stake by laying over), backing further as the odds drift with a few quid after the break if concerned 3 look likely for safety. Out at 1.8 on the draw as usual if its goalless loss on the draw. We will grab some cover on the 0-0, £5 initially backing further if concerned inplay.
|
Our Trading Result:
We layed the draw at 3.6 backed the 0-0 at 12.5 with £5 and backed over 2.5 goals with £10 at average odds of 2.1 before the opener from Djurgarden. The goal enabled us to trade out at 3.8 on the draw trade with £94 and 1.5 on the goals with £12 for £5 overall.

| Fixture: Tippeligaen |
| Teams: Aalesunds v Valerenga - SCORE: 3 - 2 |
Our Recommendation:
Aalesunds just seem to be lacking in all area's this season and need to overcome a losing run of 4 games against a strong offensive side that hasn't lost in 6 games on their travels. They did meet back in March where it finished 1-1 but they have moved in opposite directions in the last month or two. All things considered we do expect Valerenga to avoid defeat here but Aalesund do have the players to break the deadlock. More than likely another match with both sides on the scoresheet.
|
We layed the draw at 3.5 backed the 0-0 at 16.5 with £5 and backed over 2.5 goals with nothing as the opener came before we got in. Another opening goal from the underdog so not much of a movement in the odds. We were able to trade out at 4.2 on the draw with £82 for £10 overall.

| Time: 20.00 GMT |
| Fixture: Campeonato |
| Teams: Coritiba V Sao Paulo - SCORE: 2 - 0 |
Our Recommendation:
Coritiba have been very poor so far this season and find themselves 2nd from bottom. This match is against a side they haven't beaten since 1998 at their home ground so they will need to dig deep or see this winless trend continue. Sao Paulo will have some tired legs from their midweek Cup game but they welcome back two key players who they don't play well without so unless Coritiba field a reinvigorated squad we find it hard to see them taking 3 points here. Goals from both sides again looks likely here so we will be laying the draw trading out after a goal, and also having a side trade on over 2.5 goals inplay during the 1st half, following the usual plan if its goalless at the break (trading out with the same stake by laying over), backing further as the odds drift with a few quid after the break if concerned 3 look likely for safety. Out at 1.8 on the draw as usual if its goalless loss on the draw. We will grab some cover on the 0-0, £7 initially backing further if concerned inplay.
|
Our Trading Result:
Yet another game where the underdog breaks the deadlock! We layed the draw at 3.45 backed the 0-0 with £7 at 13.5 and backed over 2.5 goals with £15 at average odds of 2.38 before the opener from Coritiba. The goal enabled us to trade out at 3.9 on the draw with £88 and 1.64 with £22 for £10 overall.

| Time: 19.30 GMT |
| Fixture: Uhrencup |
| Teams: FC Basel V Panathinaikos - SCORE: 2 - 0 |
Panathinaikos were perticularly sharp in their last outing against Young Boys so we should see more of the same from them here. FC Basel lost 3-0 to Young Boys a few weeks ago so we expect Panathinaikos to be a little to much too handle for the Swiss outfit and continue their unbeaten run to 13 games. Basel have forwards who will trouble the Greek side so them scoring is probably on the cards but we are expecting another win for Panathinaikos. For this match we will be laying the draw trading out after a goal (please feel free to chase a slightly shorter price), and also having a small side trade on over 2.5 goals inplay during the 1st half, following the usual plan if its goalless at the break (trading out with the same stake by laying over), backing further as the odds drift with a few quid after the break if concerned 3 look likely for safety. Out at 1.8 on the draw as usual if its goalless loss on the draw. We will grab some cover on the 0-0, £5 initially backing further if concerned inplay.
|
Our Trading Result:
Betfair removed the inplay market on this one so we didn't have our full stake on the lay bet before it went suspended, only getting £50 on at 3.75 and £5 on the 0-0 and nothing on the goals trade . So overall because it finished 2-0 we ended £45 up. Lots of members reported having their full stake on so did well on this one.

| Fixture: Zayton Cup |
| Teams: Galatasaray V Wydad Casablanca - SCORE: 1 - 0 |
Galatasaray's line up does concern us a little so we have decided to sit and wait for the odds to drop with this match. If we can lay the draw under 3.4 and Galatasaray look dominant we will look to get in. Backing over 2.5 goals is probably the better option initially staggering your stake inplay during the 1st half as usual following our usual plan if its goalless at the break (trading out with the same stake by laying over), backing further as the odds drift with a few quid after the break if concerned 3 look likely for safety. We will get out at 1.8 on the draw (if we got in earlier) and its goalless when the draw odds reach this point. We will grab some cover on the 0-0, £6 initially backing further if concerned inplay.
|
Our Trading Result:
Big market shift for this one so we didn't need to do much chasing of the draw odds with 3.25 available before kick off for those who got in early. We layed the draw at average odds of 3.25 inplay backed the 0-0 with £6 at 16.5 and backed over 2.5 goals with £44 at average odds of 3.16 before the opener. After Galatasaray opened the scoring we traded out at 5.6 on the draw with £55 and 2.46 on the goals trade with £55 for £46 overall.

| Fixture: Europa League |
| Teams: Vllaznia V Sligo Rovers - SCORE: 1 - 1 |
These two meet again for the 2nd time in a week, with the reverse fixture finishing 2-1 to Vllanznia in what was a disappointing encounter for Sligo as they should have put the match out of reach during the 1st half but failed to convert any of their chances, following this up with a missed penalty after the break. Sligo simply need to go for it here if they are going to progress to the 2nd round and meet the Swiss superstars Rapid Vienna, hopefully Cookie will have them refocused and fired up this time out. Both sides scoring looks likely here and we won't be surprised if Sligo take this one. We will grab some cover on the 0-0, £6 initially backing further if concerned inplay.
|
Our Trading Result:
We layed the draw at 3.5 backed the 0-0 at 15 and backed over 2.5 goals at average odds of 2.72 with £25. The opener came from Vllaznia before the break for us to trade out at 4.8 on the draw with £72 and 2.2 on over 2.5 goals with £31 for £22 overall.

| Time: 19.45 GMT |
| Fixture: Irish Premier |
| Teams: Dundalk V Bohemians - SCORE: 0 - 2 |
Bohemians are sitting top and are clearly one of top 3 inform sides in the Irish Premier. They met Dundalk back in May and played them off the part easily disposing of them 5-0. A similar scoreline doesn't look on the cards this time out as Dundalk have looked much sharper in their last 3 or 4 games managing to beat 2nd placed Derry in their last home match. A draw could be on the cards but it shouldn't be a 0-0 result as Bohemians haven't failed to score in their last 10 and haven't showed any signs of this record ending. For this match we will be laying the draw and trading out after a goal, as the price will move against us if Dundalk score 1st it makes sense to chase a short average price inplay. There isn't much money on the goals market so we will be fairly cautious with our staking here but will have a small side trade inplay during the 1st half, following the usual recovery if its goalless at the break. We will also grab some cover on the 0-0, £10 initially backing further if concerned its going to finish goalless inplay. Out at 1.8 on the draw as usual.
|
Our Trading Result:
The odds shortened quit a bit in the run up to the match so not much chasing needed. We layed the draw at average odds of 3.45 backed the 0-0 with £10 at 9.6 and backed over 2.5 goals with £6 before the opener. Great trade this one with Dundalk being reduced to 10 men straight after the goal enabling us to trade out at 10.5 on the draw with £30 and 1.68 on the goals trade with £9 for £58 overall.

| Teams: Stabaek V Viking - SCORE: 2 - 0 |
Trading Preview:
Both these two have been on an up trend recently so expect a competitive game. Stabaek have been particularly impressive in recent weeks playing like a top 3 side in their last 4 at home. We are not 100% happy with Stabaek's price as we feel this match will be closer than the odds support but considering Viking have a poor record against sides that carry similar home form (only winning 8%) we feel its worth the risk. Goals from both sides look on the cards and as they are the two best 1st half sides in the league the deadlock being broken early looks likely. For this match we will be laying the draw trading out after a goal (please feel free to chase a slightly shorter price just incase Viking open the scoring), and also having a small side trade on over 2.5 goals inplay during the 1st half, following the usual plan if its goalless at the break (trading out with the same stake by laying over), backing further as the odds drift with a few quid after the break if concerned 3 look likely for safety. Out at 1.8 on the draw as usual if its goalless loss on the draw. We will grab some cover on the 0-0, £5 initially backing further if concerned inplay.
|
Our Trading Result:
We layed the draw at average odds of 3.4 backed the 0-0 at 18.5 and 6.2 with £15 overall and backed over 2.5 goals at average odds of 2.96 with £25 before the break. We went into HT goalless but fairly confident the deadlock would be broken in the 2nd half. We still followed the plan of trading out of the goals trade as usual getting out at average odds of 3.96 with the loss on over 2.5. We were just discussing backing overs again in the 2nd half when the opener came so didn't back again until after the goal at 2.58 with £10. We were able to trade out of the draw trade after the goal, so got out at 5.3 on the draw with £60. Overall we finished £13 up.

| Teams: Leverkusen v Galatasaray - SCORE: 1 - 0 |
Trading Preview:
Galatasaray need at least a draw here having won their first two matches. Leverkusen will need to beat their Turkish opponents to have any chance of lifting the trophy but they haven't looked match fit in their recent games so will be surprised if they win here. What looks the most likely result is both sides on the scoresheet. In general both these two are good for a 1st half goal against similar opponents so we will be having a side trade on over 2.5 goals, following the usual plan. The main trade will be laying the draw and trading out after a goal. Please feel free to chase a shorter price. We will grab some cover on the 0-0, £7 initially and will get at at 1.8 if its goalless on the draw as usual.
|
Our Trading Result:
We layed the draw at 3.4 backed the 0-0 at 13.0 with £7 and backed over 2.5 goals with £16 at average odds of 3.2 before the goal from Leverkusen. The goal enabled us to trade out at 4.5 on the draw trade with £74 and 2.22 on the goals trade with £23. Overall a £21 profit.

Trading Preview:
Helsingborg at home are a tough contest only losing 1 of their last 10 and haven't failed to score. When hosting Elfsborg they have only lost 1 of their last 12 H2H meetings. For this match a couple of their key players are carrying injuries which might also be the reason they have lost their last two games so we will probably see Elfsborg improve there record against Helsingborg and continue this seasons undefeated run. In general when these two meet its low scoring but we do expect both sides on the scoresheet in this encounter. Helsingborg usually start the stronger of these two so we should see them on the scoresheet early. |
Our Trading Result:
We layed the draw at 3.35 backed the 0-0 at 10.5 with £7 and backed over 2.5 goals with only £5 before the opener from Helsingborg. After the goal we traded out at 4.1 on the draw with £81 and 1.51 on the goals with £7 to end £13 up.

Trading Preview:
This one is a difficult match to predict. Gremio admittedly are a superb home side, undefeated this season and in over 10 games at home. They also haven't failed to score in these games. Corinthians have only won 1 of their last 10 on the road and 1 of the last 6 H2H meetings, so on paper Gremio look good for the win. What does need to be considered is Corinthians are on a high at the moment after winning the Brazilian Cup and also have been resting all the key play just for Cup games and will welcome them all back for this encounter. This match has us feeling a draw is on the cards but one with goals. We layed the draw at 3.5 backed the 0-0 at 12 with £7 and backed over 2.5 goals at average odds of 2.24 with £10 before the opener from Gremio. After the goal we traded out at 5.1 on the draw with £66 and 1.57 on the goals trade with £14 for £29 overall.

| Teams: Tromso V Valerenga - SCORE: 2 - 0 |
Trading Preview:
Tromso haven't lost to Valerenga in their last 5 H2H meetings but Valerenga have rarely been in their current scoring form (average of over 2.3 goals a game on the road). Usually its a tight affair which has been reflected in the scoreline (last 8 with Tromso at home finishing under 2.5 goals) but we expected this one to buck the trend with Valerenga's scoring for fun and Tromso's defensive record against strong offensive sides. The odds set this up nicely for this match so we will be laying the draw trading out after a goal, and also having a side trade on over 2.5 goals inplay during the 1st half, following the usual plan if its goalless at the break (trading out with the same stake by laying over), backing further as the odds drift with a few quid after the break if concerned 3 look likely for safety. Out at 1.8 on the draw as usual if its goalless loss on the draw. We will grab some cover on the 0-0, £6 initially backing further if concerned inplay.

Our Trading Result:
We layed the draw at 3.55, backed the 0-0 at 17.5 with £6 and backed over 2.5 goals at average odds of 2.28 with £19 before the opener from Tromso. After the goal we traded out at 4.3 on the draw with £82 and average odds of 1.7 on the goals trade with £25 for £17 overall.

| Teams: Debrecen V Kalmar FF - SCORE: 2 - 0 |
Trading Preview:
Debrecen finished the season as Hungarian Champions but have been on a break from competitive play since June. Kalmar are midway through their season and in excellent scoring form. This match might just have come at the right time for Kalmar as we don't feel they could win here if this match was being played a few months into Debrecen's season, but with their players likely to be lacking in a few area's at this early stage of the new season Kalmar should take advantage of this and avoid defeat here. Both sides play attacking football so goals look on the cards here, but expect Kalmar to play cautiously for the 1st 15 min's or so which is what we usually see from them when they play similar ranked sides on their travels. We will grab some cover on the 0-0, £10 initially backing further if concerned inplay.
|
Our Trading Result:
We layed the draw at 3.1, backed the 0-0 at 10.5 with £10 and backed over 2.5 goals at average odds of 4.05 with £26. We went into the break goalless so traded out at average odds of 7.0 on the goals trades for no loss on under 2.5 as planned prematch. After the break we backed over's again as the tempo changed with £5 at 14 for safety. The opener came before the draw odds reached 1.8 so anyone following the prematch plan would have profited but regrettably we jumped the gun a little getting £57 matched at 1.83. Because of the potential liability left on the draw and our concern it would finish all level we followed the standard 'top tips plan' of laying the leading team for this one getting 1.1 matched with £200 this gave us an overall profit of £6.

| Teams: Hacken V Hammarby - SCORE: 2 - 0 |
Trading Preview:
Hacken might be sitting in the bottom half of the table but they continue to be a very tough side to beat on home ground, only losing 1 of their last 10, winning the majority. Hammarby have a poor record against strong home sides having lost over 80% of their encounters over the last 3 seasons. With Hacken's record of taking it to these opponents we won't be surprised if they score in the 1st half. Hammarby still have a chance here but we do feel Hacken will at least avoid defeat here. We will grab some cover on the 0-0, £10 initially backing further if concerned inplay.
|
Our Trading Result:
We layed the draw at 3.5, backed the 0-0 at 10.5 and 3.8 with £25 overall and backed over 2.5 goals at average odds of 3.2 with £25 before the break. Hacken were the better side as expected but weren't able to break the deadlock early on as it was pretty tight. The odds got to our usual trade out point if its goalless for us to get out at avergage odds of 1.81 with £100. Two late goals saw Hacken win as expected prematch but unfortuantely we had already cut our losses so overall a £25 loss here.

Trading Preview:
Rubin are sitting top and thoroughly deserve to be there, with some superb football so far this season. One thing we have noted this season is their ability to break the deadlock early against top half sides so hopefully this will continue here. CSKA are also in decent form and can move 2nd with a win here so will be highly motivated. H2H the home side usually wins when these two meet with only 1 of the last 13 going to the away side. Probably the most likely thing we will see here is both sides scoring which has happened in just under 85% of Rubin's meetings against similar ranked sides to CSKA. We will grab some cover on the 0-0, £10 initially backing further if concerned inplay.
|
Our Trading Result:
We layed the draw at 3.2, backed the 0-0 at 9.6 and 3.9 with £20 overall and backed over 2.5 goals at average odds of 3.9 with £25 before the break. We were surprised that this one was goalless at HT but followed the usual plan of getting out for no loss on under 2.5 at average odds of 7.2. After the break we backed over 2.5 goals again at 9.2 with £5. A goal followed about 5 min's later for us to trade out at 5.1 on the draw with £59. Shortly after we backed over 2.5 again with £8 at 5.6 for safety as it made sense to minimise the liability with our profit from the draw trade. Everyone who asked was also advised to do so. So overall £10 profit.

Trading Preview:
The season has only just kicked off again for these two but early signs are more of the same from last year. Altach did look particularly sharp up front in the 4-1 battering of Salzburg last week but their defensive issues are still there (conceded 29 goals in last 10 on the road). Lustenau also look very similar to last season and will likely continue their reliable record of scoring and conceding in the majority of games and avoiding defeat at home (undefeated in over 10 games). We will grab some cover on the 0-0, £7 initially backing further if concerned inplay.
|
Our Trading Result:
We layed the draw at 3.5, backed the 0-0 at 15 and had nothing on the goals trade before the opener. After Altach opened the scoring we traded out at 4.6 with £74 for £18 overall.

From what we have seen of these two this season their isn't much between them and they both bring similar form to this encounter. Houston are sitting top on points but they haven't beaten Toronto on home ground in quite a while. We don't expect them to do it this time out either. All things considered a draw looks the most likely outcome here. Houston on the score sheet before the break looks likely because of their usual strong offensive start against top 6 sides. We layed the draw at 3.45, backed the 0-0 at 11.5 and backed over 2.5 goals at average odds of 3.2 with £17 before the opener. The 1st goal didn't come from but as expected the deadlock was broken before the break. The goal enable us to trade out at 4.5 on the draw with £78 and 2.06 on the goals with £26 for £23 overall.

Trading Preview:
The season has just kicked off for these two but expectations will be high for both sides. Neither has tasted defeat in their last 10 and both are strong offensive sides who rarely fail to score. H2H Silkeborg haven't lost to Koge on the road since 1999 but at this early stage in the season anything can happen, but we shouldn't need to worry too much about this finishing goalless. Trading Preview:
Gelfe's home record against top 6 sides is pretty poor but Helsingborg have been pretty poor themselves in recent weeks. One thing Helsingborg have been reliable for irrespective of form is delivering a result that finishes over 2.5 goals. Gelfe also have a habit of conceding early against similar ranked sides so ideally we will see the deadlock broken before the break. It shouldn't matter who scores 1st here as long as we get a goal before our usual trade out point. We will grab some cover on the 0-0, £8 initially backing further if concerned inplay.
|
Our Trading Result:
We layed the draw at average odds of 3.4 backed the 0-0 at 12 and 4.4 with £17 and backed over 2.5 goals with £25 at average odds of 3.28 before the break. We went in HT goalless but not too worried as goals looked on the cards, still following the usual plan of trading out for no loss on under as planned at average odds of 5.8. Shortly into the 2nd half Helsingborg scored which enabled us to trade out of the draw trade at 4.4 with £75. It also made sense to back overs again for safety so we put £10 on at 2.68. Another goal came from Helsingborg with about 25 min's to go so again for safety we put another £10 on at 1.8 to protect ourselves. So overall we finished £13 down. Difficult match to read this one.

| Teams: Wolfsburg V W Bremen - SCORE: 1 - 2 |
Trading Preview:
We have been looking forward to this for a few weeks now. Bundesliga Champions Wolfsburg and German Cup winners Werder Bremen meet yet again in the
Volkswagen Super Cup 2009.
Both sides have shown early signs that they will be in for another decent season and this will surely be the test they need before it kicks off for real in a few weeks. Wolfsburg look in slightly better shape for this match so we expect them to avoid defeat here. We also expect them on the score sheet early on. The most recent H2H's finished 5-1 and 5-2 so hopefully we will be entertained with a plethora of goals. For this match we will be laying the draw trading out after a goal (you might want to stagger your stake here just incase Bremen score 1st), and also having a side trade on over 2.5 goals inplay during the 1st half, following the usual plan if its goalless at the break (trading out with the same stake by laying over), backing further as the odds drift with a few quid after the break if concerned 3 look likely for safety. Out at 1.8 on the draw as usual if its goalless loss on the draw. We will grab some cover on the 0-0, £5 initially backing further if concerned inplay.

Our Trading Result:
We layed the draw at average odds of 3.65 with £90 of the £100 we were looking to get on, backed the 0-0 at 17.5 with £5 and backed over 2.5 goals at 2.0 with £15 before the opener from Bremen. Pretty obvious that goals were coming here from both sides. We got out at 4.2 on the draw with £77 and 1.44 on the goals trade with £17 for £14 overall.

Trading Preview:
20 points separate these two in the table and only 14 games have been played so there has clearly been a difference in form between them. Mjallby are the inform side in the Superettan, sitting top with only 1 loss in 14 games scoring 40 and conceding only 8. IFK haven't really been in the same league as Mjallby so far this season but they have dramatically improved in their last 4 or 5 games and will come into this match full of confidence having won their last two and freely scoring in their last 4 games. Personally we feel they will have difficulty breaking Mjallby's defense and can't see them scoring more than once but defensively themselves they are yet to improve so Mjallby should at least avoid defeat here and have little issue scoring. For this match we will be laying the draw trading out after a goal (you might want to stagger your stake here just incase Bremen score 1st), and also having a small side trade on over 2.5 goals inplay during the 1st half, following the usual plan if its goalless at the break (trading out with the same stake by laying over), backing further as the odds drift with a few quid after the break if concerned 3 look likely for safety. Our Trading Result:
We layed the draw at average odds of 3.45, backed the 0-0 at 17 and 5.8 with £16 overall and backed over 2.5 goals at average odds of 3.16 with £24. We went into the break goalless but Mjallby looked good for scoring, we still traded out as planned for no loss on under 2.5 goals getting out at average odds of 4.5. After the break we backed overs again for a little safety at 8.4 with £7 but it wasn't really warranted. Mjallby opened the scoring about 10 min's later for us to trade out at 5.0 with £66. We left the additional overs trade open so overall £8.

Trading Preview:
Flamengo have only lost 1 of their last 10 at home but have been stuttering of late picking up just two wins since the start of June. Barueri are definitely on an up trend scoring 27 goals in their last 10 only losing 1 of their 12 league games so
far this season. Personally this game looks like it will be closer than the odds support but as expected the over 2.5 goals odds are very short which is supported by the fact 9 of both sides last 10 games have finished over 2.5 goals. For this match we will be laying the draw and trading out after a goal (we are a little concerned Barueri will score 1st here so will be chasing the odds down staggering our stake to protect ourselves) but this match does look good for the deadlock being broken before the break so will be having a small side trade on over 2.5 goals inplay during the 1st half, following the usual plan if its goalless at the break. We will get out when the draw odds are 1.8 if its goalless and will be grabbing £6 of cover on the 0-0 backing further if concerned inplay.
|
Our Trading Result:
We layed the draw at average odds of 3.4, backed the 0-0 at 20 with £6 overall and backed over 2.5 goals at average odds of 2.98 with £25. The match was as expected prematch with a goal or two still looked on the cards. We went into the break goalless for us to trade out for no loss should the match finish under 2.5 goals as planned getting out at 4.0. After the break Barueri converted a penalty to take the lead (quite a few members reported backing overs again before the match went suspended, unfortunately we weren't that quick). After they took the lead we traded out of the draw trade at 3.4 (odds didn't move much as Flamengo looked good for pulling it back). For safety we backed overs again with £10 at 2.98. Regrettably because of the lack of odds movement on the draw odd we ended £16 down. Apologies to Terry for forgetting to upload his winning lay of Flamengo to his section.

Trading Preview:
Both sides come into this match unbeaten in their pre-season build up. Atletico looked very sharp up front in their last two wins but still showed last seasons defensive frailty. They have a large squad with them for this tournament and will need to play Juanito and Luis Perea in defense this time out or the hosts will be scoring for fun here. Ajax were superb in their last two games hitting the net 8 times and looked pretty solid defensively. Whilst these matches were against 2nd tier sides they will obviously be a tough opponent for Atletico and should show them they have work to do in defense. We really can't see this one being goalless and feel pretty confident both sides will register here. Our Trading Result:
We layed the draw at 3.6 backed the 0-0 with £6 at 15.0 and backed over 2.5 goals with £5 before the opener from Ajax. The goal enabled us to trade out of the draw trade at avergage odds of 4.8 with £74 and 1.27 on the goals for £16 overall.

| Teams: Start V Stabaek - SCORE: 2 - 2 |
Trading Preview:
Newly promoted Start continue to impress especially on home soil. Undefeated in their last 7 home games losing just once so far this season (to top of the table Rosenborg), scoring an average of 2.2 goals a game. Their opponents here Stabaek sit just one point behind them but have been very unimpressive this season on their travels, so we expect Start to play with confidence despite the poor H2H result in June. The reverse fixture was a white wash with Start losing 5-0 but we feel they should avoid defeat in this encounter with Stabaek's poor away form. H2H the home side hasn't failed to score since the early 90's and with Start scoring in all the last 10 at home we should see them on the scoresheet. Stabeck also look good for scoring here and with the odds very even we will be able to profit whoever scores 1st. For this match we will be laying the draw trading out after a goal, and also having a small side trade on over 2.5 goals inplay during the 1st half as the deadlock should be broken before the break, following the usual plan if its goalless at the break (trading out with the same stake by laying over), backing further as the odds drift with a few quid after the break if concerned 3 look likely for safety. Out at 1.8 on the draw as usual if its goalless loss on the draw. We will grab some cover on the 0-0, £5 initially backing further if concerned inplay.
|
Our Trading Result:
We layed the draw here at average odds of 3.55 backed the 0-0 at 20 with £5 and over 2.5 goals at average odds of 2.98. We went into the break goalless but very confident we would see the deadlock broken after the break. We still followed the trade out plan on the goals trade getting out at average odds 4.2 to stick to the preview. Stabaek opened the scoring about 2min's into the 2nd half for us to trade out of the draw trade at 4.1 with £86. We backed overs again at this point at 2.24 with £10 for some safety. Stabaek went 2 up with about 15mins to go so because of the record of home sides always scoring in their H2H's and the fact Start were pressing for a goal we backed overs again with £10 at average odds of 2.86. So overall £5 profit.

Trading Preview:
These two are sitting jnt 2nd across both divisions and a win here will take them within 1 point of table leaders Houston. There isn't much to choose between these two so it will probably end all square just like the last meeting back in May, but they should both be focused on the win so it shouldn't been goalless. Both sides look good for scoring fairly early here with the deadlock being broken before the break. We will grab some cover on the 0-0, £7 initially backing further if concerned inplay.

Our Trading Result:
We layed the draw at average odds of 3.5 backed the 0-0 at 14 and 4.2 with £17 overall and backed overs at average odds of 3.42 with £15, we couldn't justify backing with £25 here. No goal before the break so we traded out at average odds 5.2. After the break we backed overs again with £5 at 8.6 for some safety as Chicago went down to 10 men. Unfortunately we reached our usual traded out point getting out at 1.83 with the loss on the draw as planned. The matched finished goalless so overall £57 down. Most reported minimising this by backing/laying the draw again as the odds shortened quickly under 1.8.

| Teams: Botafogo V Internacional - SCORE: 3 - 2 |
Trading Preview:
Of the two Internacional have started the season much better and currently occupy 3rd spot. Botafogo have improve off late with some decent results against bottom/mid-table sides but against top 4 sides they have lost over 80% of their matches over the last few seasons. This is supported by the fact Botafogo have only won 16% of their home H2H meetings with Internacional. Botafogo's recent improvement in form will likely see them score here but we expect Internacional to just take this one. Same trading plan as above for this match.
|
Our Trading Result:
Interesting match this one. The odds drifted nicely before the off due to Internacional weakened line up. Those who contacted us about the odds drift we advised to lay and back as they drifted and secure a profit getting back in when the odds returned inplay. We did the same here getting in at 3.55 and out at 4.1 (securing £12 profit) before kick off and back in again at 3.55 out again after Botafogo took the lead at 5.2 with £66. We unfortunately didn't have anything on the goals trade here before the opener and uses the earlier profit on the draw trade so £32 overall.

Valerenga have now lost 3 on the bounce and will be desperate for a win here. They will certainly score in this match as Odd Grenland just can't keep a clean sheet on the road, conceding in all the last 10 and the last 4 H2H's. Grenland's record this season on the road looks pretty poor with only 1 win from 9 games but they really aren't as bad as this looks as 6 of these ended in score draws. On paper this looks yet again like another score draw and with the odds as they are we just about be able to profit whoever scores 1st. Ajax started as expected in their last meeting against Atletico and grabbed the early lead but it finished in a 3-3 draw. Benfica are leading the tournament and come into this match after a fluent win over Sunderland. Obviously the hosts will want to win here and Maryin Jol will be fielding a full strength side. This will be a much tougher test for Benfica and should see them concede against this strong offensive side. This one could go either way but personally we feel Ajax could just grab this one. Both these two have been fairly disappointing so far in this competition and will want to end with a positive result. Usually when they meet its a fierce contest which rarely fails to deliver goals with 4 of the last 5 seeing both sides on the scoresheet. Inter look the better of the two at this early stage of the season but as long as one of the two score before our usual trade out point we should be able to profit here. Out at 1.8 on the draw as usual if its goalless loss on the draw. We will grab some cover on the 0-0, £10 initially backing further if concerned inplay.

Our Trading Result:
We layed the draw at 3.25 backed the 0-0 with £10 at 10 and backed over 2.5 goals with nothing before Diego opened the scoring for Inter. The goal enabled us to trade out at average odds of 4.4 with £72 for £16 profit overall

| Teams: Aalesunds V Fredrikstad - SCORE: 1 - 1 |
Trading Preview:
Fredrikstad are on a shocking run of form on their travels. They have now lost 6 consecutive games and have conceded in all of the last 10. On a positive note they have managed to score in all but one of their matches against sides with similar form to Aalesunds but they really have been poor of late. Aalesunds aren't in much better form but have been resilient at home and remain undefeated against bottom half sides. They also haven't lost to Fredrikstad at home in quite a few years so all things considered they should avoid defeat here. Both sides scoring looks the most reliable outcome here with Aalesund on the scoresheet before the break. We will grab some cover on the 0-0, £6 initially backing further if concerned inplay.

Our Trading Result:
We layed the draw at 3.6 backed the 0-0 at 18.5 and 5.1 with £16 overall and over 2.5 goals at average odds of 3.2 with £25 before the break. We were a little surprised this one was goalless at HT and were confident of a few goals (backing the 0-0 again at 5.1 wasn't really warranted, just us being a little over cautious) but still followed the preview getting out at average odds of 4.5 with the loss on under. Regrettably a goal came just after the break which mean 't we had to get back in on the goals trade putting £10 on at 2.56 for some safety. The goal did enable us to trade out of the draw trade at 4.4 with £81 which almost covered the 0-0 bet (we weighted the profit towards the win not the draw unfortunately) but as an equaliser came and another goal looked likely we had to put another £10 on overs at 2.7 to protect ourselves so a £22 loss.

| Teams: Sparta Prague V Panathinaikos - SCORE: 3 - 1 |
Trading Preview:
Its deja vu for Sparta as they face Panathinaikos just like last season. Historically Sparta usually struggle in this competition and against an opponent they are yet to defeat (lost both legs last year, 3-1 on aggregate) its a tough ask after a poor start to the domestic season at the weekend. They did take things easy in their match again Teplice, and rumors are this was in anticipation of this H2H so this wasn't really a true picture of their early form. Their side has also been reinvigorated with some decent signings who should make this a tough 1st leg to this qualifier. Panathinaikos side also looks very strong this season with their new talent and will more than likely win on aggregate but we feel this leg will see Sparta avoid defeat. A goalless match doesn't look likely here as Sparta rarely fail to score at home, but against strong offensive sides they have conceded in 88% of games over the last 3 seasons. We will go against the grain here and support a 1st half goal with a side trade on over 2.5 goals, following the usual plan should it be goalless at the break and will be laying the draw and trading out after a goal from either side as the main trade. We will grab some cover on the 0-0 £8 initially backing further if concerned.

Our Trading Result:
Brilliant result for Sparta and well deserved. We layed the draw at 3.1, backed the 0-0 at 8.6 with £8 and backed overs with £19 before the opener at average odds of 3.34. After the goal we traded out at 3.75 on the draw with £80 and 2.06 on the goals with £28. Typically another goal came from Sparta to push the odds up dramatically a short time after trading out which quite a few members reported getting but for us a £25 profit.

| Teams: Manchester Utd V Bayern Munich - SCORE: 0 - 0 |
Trading Preview:
Bayern were very impressive against AC Milan even without Ribery. Whilst Milan looked a little tired this was a great result for Bayern and they look ready for the kick off of the Bundesliga especially up front. Utd were a little lucky against Boca and obviously still have a little work to do and settle in their new signings. From what we have seen of these two at this early stage we would expect Bayern to at least avoid defeat here but with the DFB Pokal kicking off at the weekend Van Der Gaal won't field his strongest 1st 11. So a score draw or Utd win is the most likely result despite Bayern looking the better side at present. We will grab some cover on the 0-0, £6 initially backing further if concerned inplay.

Our Trading Result:
We layed the draw at average odds of 3.35 backed the 0-0 at 14.5 and 5.2 with £20 overall and backed over 2.5 goals at average odds of 3.34 before the break. We nearly saw the deadlock broken before HT but unfortunately no goals here as both sides cancelled each other out. We traded out of the goals trade as planned for no loss on under at 5.4 backing it again at 12.5 with £5 for safety. We got to our usual trade out point of 1.8 on the draw with no goals so close the trade with the loss on the draw at 1.82. This left us with a loss of over £40 which we did minimise to £4 by backing and laying the draw between 1.6 and 1.3 but this isn't in the preview so overall a loss of £46.
