| Date: 1st January |
| Time: 3.00pm |
| Fixture: Premiership |
| Teams: Middlesbrough v Sheff Utd - SCORE: 3-1 |
Our Recommendation:
With the odds on this one expected to be around 3.70 to lay the draw this looks like a bargain trade. We should see Middlesbrough get this one as it is a perfect oportunity to pull away from the bottom further and get away from the relegation zone. There are usually winners in bottom of the table clashes and these two are teetering on the edge at the moment so should be a good one. Back out of the trade after the first goal which should be Middlesbroughs. |
Our Trading Result:
We layed the draw on this one at 3.70. Middlesrouh scored as expected in the first half and gave us the trade out odds we needed for our profit. Middlesbrough had a great second half and got another 2 goals finishing the match 3-1. Plenty of oportunities to trade out if you missed the first goal. |

| Time: 8.00pm |
| Fixture: Premiership |
| Teams: Aston Villa v Chelsea - SCORE: 0-0 |
Our Recommendation:
This one should go Chelseas way. After 2 draws they will want a win here. The oposition although at home shouldn't be a match for Chelsea with the pressure being piled on by Man Utd. We're laying the draw (around 4.00) and backing after Chelsea take the lead. |
Our Trading Result:
We got our lay bet on this match at 3.90. Who would have thought that Villa would hold Chelsea to a draw, even at home. This is why they call it the funny old game. Lost this trade and have lots of work to do now to get our profit back. We traded out for a risky £200 at odds of 1.70 in the second half when it looked like going against us and tooka loss on this one. |

| Time: 3.00pm |
| Fixture: FA Cup |
| Teams: Nottm Forest v Charlton - SCORE: 2-0 |
Our Recommendation:
We are backing over 2.5 goals on this match and the odds should be around 2.20. As this is an FA Cup match and both teams are usually in high scoring games there is a great chance there will be a goal or 2 in the first half which will give us good odds to trade out on and make a nice profit. |
Our Trading Result:
We backed over 2.5 goals on this match at 2.20. Forest got the first goal in just under 30 minutes and this gave trade out odds of around 1.90 once the market had settled. The second goal came within a couple of minutes and we hadn't traded out so took the odds at 1.20 after this second goal for a very healthy profit. |

| Time: 5.15pm |
| Fixture: FA Cup |
| Teams: Liverpool v Arsenal - SCORE: 1-3 |
Our Recommendation:
This will be a tight match and we have a feeling this will go Arsenals way in the end but it shouldn't be a very high scoring match. We will be backing the draw (around 3.30) on this match and anticipate being able to trade out after around 30-40 minutes without a goal. If a goal is scored we'll need to hope for an equalizer. |
Our Trading Result:
We backed the draw on this match at 3.50. This one didn't go to plan as Arsenal got 2 before the break. Liverpools equalizer in the second half dropped the odds on the draw to 4.20 so we layed the draw with £80 and took a small loss on this one. Not a great deal of damage done. |

| Time: 2.00pm |
| Fixture: FA Cup |
| Teams: Man Utd v Aston Villa - SCORE: 2-1 |
Our Recommendation:
Man Utd should be able to win this quite comfortably. We think they will strike fairly early and will probably follow up with one or two more goals. We will be backing over 2.5 goals on this match (around 1.80) and will be trading out hopefully in the first half when the odds allow. If there is a really early goal then it will probably pay to stay in the trade until a second is scored for an even better profit. |
Our Trading Result:
We backed over 2.5 goals at 1.79. Man Utd took a long time to get their goal and it didn't come till the second half. The odds dropped to around 2.40 which wasn't enough to get a profit for us unfortunately. The second goal came from Villa around 74 minutes and dropped the odds further to 1.93 for us. This gave a trade out with a small loss but being Man Utd and the kings of the last minute goal we stayed in there with a hope of getting 100% profit. Luckily just before 90 minutes they obliged and scored the third. Lucky escape for us but having had a few bad trades lately a calculated risk which paid off. |

| Fixture: Carling Cup |
| Teams: Liverpool v Arsenal - SCORE: 3-6 |
Our Recommendation:
These two will be battling again tonight and although Liverpool are the favourites there is a good chance Arsenal will be able to get stuck into this one and claim a victory too. We will be laying the draw on this match (around 3.85) and backing when the odds allow. If Liverpool get the first which is ideal we will get a swift and tidy profit. This is a good possibility but if Arsenal score first we will have to wait for the odds to change in our favour or another Arsenal goal. |
Our Trading Result:
We got our lay bet on this one at 3.75. Arsenal got the first goal in this one which we though was a possibility and the odds only got to 3.50 so no profit immediately on this one. Liverpool got the equalizer 6 minutes after the first and leveled the playing field for us again. Arsenal got ahead again just before half time but again the odds were not quite enough for a profit for us. Then they got 2 in a minute on the 45th minute and a whopping profit. With a 3 goal lead we didn't bother trading out as it looked 99% certain at half time there would not be a draw! |

| Fixture: Carling Cup |
| Teams: Wycombe v Chelsea - SCORE: 1-1 |
Our Recommendation:
Although Chelsea have been a little out of form lately there is no reason why they should not win this one. Playing a 3rd division team away should still not be a worry and the odds reflect that. The draw odds are fairly high so we're going to go with a bet on the over 2.5 goals market. Back over 2.5 goals and get out after the first or second goal depending when they are scored and what odds are available. An early goal will be best as we can stay in the trade and hopefully get better odds after a second. |
Our Trading Result:
We backed over 2.5 goals at 1.90. The first goal took a while (36 minutes) to come and the odds dropped to just about what we backed at originally so no profit available. The second goal didn't come until 77 minutes so we got out immediately when this was scored by laying at 2.32 with £110 and took a small profit on the match. Risky as we would have lost £50 if another goal came but a calculated risk with 10 minutes to go. |

| Teams: Watford v Liverpool - SCORE: 0-3 |
Our Recommendation:
This should be an easy win for Liverpool although there may not be too many goals scored as Liverpool fight to retain 3rd spot in the table. With more than generous odds of around 4.20 on the draw we will be laying the draw and trading out after Liverpool take the lead. Should see a very healthy profit on this match. |
Our Trading Result:
We got our lay bet on this match at 3.90. Liverpool did us proud by getting the first goal in the first half. By the time we had noticed the goal the second one came from Liverpool so we got out after this one at 28.00 with a massive £86 profit. |

Our Recommendation:
Another lay of the draw here for us at around 3.35 as these two teams are perfectly match on their odds. We'll trade out after the first goal is scored by wither team. Both teams have good scoring records and usually have a goal or two by half time so we should be able to get out in the first half for a profit. |
Our Trading Result:
Unfortunately Betfair withdrew this match from the in-play market so we could not trade on this one. |

| Teams: Everton v Reading - SCORE: 1-1 |
Our Recommendation:
These two are right next to each other in the table at the moment so we're expecting a good game. Reading have played aggressively lately and are likely to keep that momentum up away from home. We are going against the grain on this match and think there will be a good scoreline so are backing over 2.5 goals at the very generous odds of around 2.30. We'll trade out after the first or second goal probably depending when they are scored and what the odds allow. |
Our Trading Result:
We backed over 2.5 goals at 2.28. The first goal did not arrive until 27 minutes and the odds dropped to 1.80 which gave us our trade out and profit. |

| Time: 7.45pm |
| Fixture: FA Cup |
| Teams: Man City v Sheff Wed - SCORE: 2-1 |
Our Recommendation:
This match really could swing either way for us. Man City have had 4 0-0 draws at home this season and although they are playing a championship team there is a good chance this will be a tight one. If not a 0-0 draw there will be a few goals in all probability so we are going to be backing the draw for some nice profit here at around 3.95. We will be trading out after around 30-40 minutes if no goals have come or we'll have to wait till an equalizer is hopefully scored. Although Man City are heavy favorites for this there is no guarantee the first strike will come from them. |
Our Trading Result:
We backed the draw on this match at 4.00. We had a 0-0 draw still as expected at half time and we got out of the trade just before the first goal arrived at odds of 3.00 and a nice little profit across the board. For those that missed the trade out before the first goal the equalizer in the second half gave odds around 2.40 and even more profit. Fortune favours the brave! |

| Date: 17th January |
| Time: 8.00pm |
| Fixture: FA Cup |
| Teams: Tottenham v Cardiff - SCORE: 4-0 |
Our Recommendation:
Cardiff really are out of form at the moment and Tottenham have had a good season up until a few weeks ago so this really should go Spurs way. Tottenham have had a number of great wins recently with high scoring matches and playing a Championship team (even in the Cup) should produce a few goals. We'll be backing over 2.5 goals at odds around 1.85 and trading out after the first or second goal depending when the odds allow. If an early goal is scored in under 10-15 minutes it is worth hanging in for the second goal and hopefully much better odds. |
Our Trading Result:
We got our back bet on this match at 1.96. We had 2 goals within minutes of each other in the first half and got odds of 1.21 to trade out on securing our profit. The third goal came before the end of the first half so 100% profit was available for the brave. |

| Date: 20th January |
| Time: 12.45pm |
| Fixture: Premiership |
| Teams: Liverpool v Chelsea - SCORE: 2-0 |
Our Recommendation:
A real clash of the titans here and with Chelsea being a little unpredictable of late anything could happen in this one. We're expecting a winner in the match and the likelyhood is it will go to Liverpool being at home and having a little more reliability under their belts. It should be close though and theres a good chance there won't be many goals. The odds on the draw are very favorable at around 3.25 so we are laying the draw and backing after the first goal. It won't matter who gets the first we'll still get good odds to make a profit on. |
Our Trading Result:
We got our lay bet on this one at 3.30. Liverpool shot in with a very early goal after just 4 minutes and gave us the profit we wanted. We got out at 4.30 and weighted the profit towards a win by either team for £30. |
Profit made on this trade = £30

| Date: 20th January |
| Time: 3.00pm |
| Fixture: Premiership |
| Teams: Fulham v Tottenham - SCORE: 1-1 |
Our Recommendation:
We're going to stick our neck out on this one and will be backing over 2.5 goals for these two at odds around 2.10. Fulham have drawn their last 5 matches with 3 of them over 3 goals and Tottenham have had matches with over 3 goals 10 times in their last 15 matches. The only blip in this strategy is that they drew 0-0 last time they met but that was early in the season. We'll be getting out of the trade by laying the draw when the odds allow which will be after the first or second goals depending when they are scored. |
Our Trading Result:
We got our back bet on at 2.06 on this one. There were two goals in this match but unfortunately they didn't come until the last 5 minutes of the match. We didn't get an opportunity to trade out on this one and lost the whole stake. |

| Date: 21st January |
| Time: 1.30pm |
| Fixture: Premiership |
| Teams: Wigan v Everton - SCORE: 0-2 |
Our Recommendation:
Wigan have had a shocking month having lost their last 5 in a row although 4 of those matches were against top flight teams. Everton have only lost 1 in the last 5 and are still in with a chance of getting to the top 4 this season. Wigan will be looking to win this and break their bad run at home as they are teetering on the edge of relegation. The odds on the draw are favourable for us here around 3.45 so we'll be laying the draw and backing out of the trade after the first goal by either team. |
Our Trading Result:
We got our lay on this one at 3.35. The first goal was a while in coming but it arrived after 65 minutes and gave us the odds we needed to make our profit. |

| Fixture: Premiership |
| Teams: Watford v Blackburn - SCORE: 2-1 |
Our Recommendation:
The odds on this match are crying out for us to lay the draw but we're not going to do that on this one. The profit would be there after a goal by either team but we think this will go Blackburns way. Watford have only won 1 match all season and although they are at home Blackburn have been playing exceptionally well of late and should get this one in the bag although not by a huge margin. We're backing Blackburn to win at odds around 2.26 and trading out after they take the lead. |
Our Trading Result:
We backed Blackburn at 2.30. Watford got in there first fairly early but the equaliser came from Blackburn just before the whistle for half time. This gave odds of 2.58 to get out on but we stuck in there as a draw or Watford win was still not looking likely with 45 minutes to go and 2 goals in the bag. Watford got another goal in the second half and sealed our fate unfortunately. What a time for Watford to find form and win their second match of the season! A lot of members managed to get out with profits which is good but we stuck in for the greedy one and this didn't work out for us this time. |

| Date: 24th January |

| Teams: Tottenham v Arsenal - SCORE: 2-2 |
Our Recommendation:
Arsenal will be looking to get an away goal here and having beaten Tottenham 3-0 last time they met they will be expecting a victory. Tottenhams run of late has been far from impressive and being at home will be some comfort but this late in the competition anything can happen. We've decided to lay the draw on this one at around 3.55 and will be looking to trade out after the first goal by either team. Odds are very favourable and it won't matter who scores first. |
Our Trading Result:
We layed the draw at 3.50. Tottenham got the first goal really quickly in the first half and gave us the odds we needed to trade out for a profit at 4.30. Tottenhams second goal shortly after would have rewarded anyone that stayed in the trade with odds of 9.00. |

Our Recommendation:
This is a great match for laying the draw (around 3.75) as Blackburn are on a great run at the moment with 5 of their last 8 games ending in victory and 3 of those being away from home. Luton who are struggling in their league and on the verge of relegation should pose no problem and we should see a nice profit by trading out after Blackburn take the lead. |
Our Trading Result:
We layed the draw at 3.70. Blackburn scored the first after just 11 minutes and gave us the odds we needed to get out of the trade. Could have stayed in for much more if we'd wanted as well. |

| Date: 27th January |
| Time: 3.00pm |
| Fixture: FA Cup |
| Teams: Tottenham v Southend - SCORE: 3-1 |
Our Recommendation:
Southend are well and truly looking like going down from the Championship and playing Tottenham at home will not be filling them with hope. This should be simple for Tottenham as they like to score lots at home and although Southend can pull the occasional surprise out of the bag (Beating Cardiff 0-1 away) they won't stand a great deal of chance here. The draw and backing the favourite is out so we are backing over 2.5 goals on this one (around 1.80) and trading out after the first or second goal depending on when they are scored. |
Our Trading Result:
We got our back bet on the over 2.5 goals market at 1.80. Tottenham scored the first swiftly for us after 12 minutes giving odds of 1.35 to get out on. Nice easy profit early on. Just as we like it at. |

| Fixture: FA Cup |
| Teams: Arsenal v Bolton - SCORE: 1-1 |
Our Recommendation:
This is the only really close clash in the FA Cup this weekend and we think it's not as cut and dry as the odds suggest. Arsenal are clear favourites to win this although they lost to Bolton last time they met in the league 1-3. The odds on the draw are around 4.50 which although high is not entirely realistic. We think there may be a couple of goals in the match but no easy win for either team so we're backing the draw at around 4.50 and will be looking to trade out after 30-40 minutes if no goals are scored or after an equalizer if a goal is scored early in the first half. |
Our Trading Result:
We backed the draw at 4.10. The game went exactly as expected with no goals scored. We got out of the trade at half time and took odds of 2.80 securing our profit of £47 no matter what the score ended up. |

| Teams: Sheff Utd v Fulham - SCORE: 2-0 |
Our Recommendation:
This is a good match for laying the draw as the odds are favourable at around 3.45. both of these teams are near the bottom of the table but Sheffield are a little more in relegation danger so will see tonights home game as a great oportunity to get 3 points nd pull a little clearere of the rest. We'll be backing out of the draw after the first goal by either team but Sheffield will give a better profit for us if they score first. |
Our Trading Result:
We got our lsy et on at 3.55. Sheffield got the first goal fairly early on and it was followed very quickly by a second which is when we got out of the trade at odds of 8.80. |

| Teams: Reading v Wigan - SCORE: 3-2 |
Our Recommendation:
This should go Readings way and the odds certainly reflect that. We will be backing Reading to win at around 1.90 and trading out after they take the lead. Reading seem to go through spurts of winning and as they are at home this should be the continuation of their current good record. Wigan have big troubles at the moment and are teetering on the edge of relegation with 7 straight losses to their name. |
Our Trading Result:
We got our back bet on reading at 1.90. It went the wrong way initially with Wigan getting the first goal quickly. Reading soon equalized and got the better of Wigan in the second half to take the lead and get our trade out odds of 1.31. |

| Fixture: Carling Cup |
| Teams: Arsenal v Tottenham - SCORE: 1-1 |
Our Recommendation:
Arsenal beat Tottenham 3-0 at home last time they met and there is no reason why a repeat of that is not on the cards with Arsenal on a great run and Tottenham having a bad time at the moment. Tottenhams away record this season has been terrible with just 1 away win to their name so far. The odds on the draw are 3.75 but we will be backing Arsenal at around 2.00 and trading out after Arsenal take the lead. This should give us a better profit than laying the draw. |
Our Trading Result:
We backed Arsenal at 2.14. The first half was very quiet and no goals came from either team. The odds to get out on if you wanted to bail here were still really low at 2.24 meaning a £12 loss if Arsenal won or a £0 loss on Tottenham or the draw. We got out after 72 minutes at 2.86 and ook the loss on this one as there wasn't looking like a goal. 78 minutes in Arsenal scored and if we hadn't traded out already would have made a nice profit. C'est la vie! Tottenham equalized after 85 minutes which minimized our loss a little more. |
